I love how they now consider Talerico as a moderate. This is a massive win for the shifting of the Overton window to the left.

yes we know. you hate people who hate republican politicians because you love working w them over the left.
Jennifer Welch represents the very worst of the online left influencers and I cannot take seriously anyone who does not see that she has horrible judgment and horrible character.

Evil. Jennifer Welch can’t control her laughter after reading a tweet that says, “We’re digging up Charlie Kirk and doing it again.”

Why is Sarah Longwell always fighting Jewish people? She needs to cool it with her anti-semitism.
Jon stewart with @SarahLongwell25 : I don't know if you know Sam Seder, but he was hilarious watching Chuck Schumer 😂

Chewy fired one of their directors for being gay and only settled his lawsuit when it came out that the CEOs emails were going to have to be released.

WATCH: @hasanthehun points out not only did the @dscc not help @AngieNixon in Florida, they fundraised off searches for her name 🤔 @SenSchumer told her “WE’LL SEE” when she asked for help. She lost by 3 points. That alone is enough for @SenateDems to “SEE” about a new leader

In August, Matthew suggested El-Sayed couldn’t beat Mike Rogers because he had to convince voters in Michigan, not New York. Since then, he’s moved the goalposts to margin of victory. Once we can agree he and others did that, we can pivot to more important issues. But they won’t.
Once we all agree that the mod electability advantage is real, albeit smallish, we can move on to the real debate which is about the electoral benefits of trying to pivot the whole national party brand in a more moderate direction rather than running outliers in key races.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Yglesias wrote in August on both his Slow Boring website and in a New York Times opinion piece that El-Sayed would probably win while running weaker than a generic Democrat. Which is, in fact, what happened. nytimes.com/2026/08/06/opi… open.substack.com/pub/matthewygl…

Democrats ran a man called Abdul El-Sayed who believes Israel committed genocide and still got 60 percent of the Jewish vote. This idea that “pro-Israel” voters have any power at all in most elections has been debunked
This was quite literally the Mike Rogers strategy and it plainly did not work

South Asian is the creole term that people who immigrate from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh to the U.S. use to delineate the shared experiences and cultural commonalities of many of them living in a Western society. This is especially so for second and third generation immigrants who generally don’t share or understand the intricate differences and resentments of people living in the region their parents or grandparents came from. No one really has a problem with it except for some FOBs and socially maladjusted people and it’s not intended to make sense to people actually living in those countries.
Leave aside other arguments, did Alexander have India or South Asia in mind? Did Columbus want to find a route to India or South Asia? Why were the natives of America called Red Indians and not Red South Asians? Why did the British set up the East India company and not the South Asian company? Why was it British India and not British South Asia? East Indies and West Indies? Why is it called the Indian Ocean not the South Asian Ocean?

Hasan Piker nailed it. Jeffries is one of the most pro-Israel Democrats in the country, and he's ignoring 90% of his own party who demanding a reversal of relationship that U.S have maintained with Israel to serve AIPAC donors. Totally unacceptable

This is so strong and clear. You can't help but notice that if this was in the UK context - you wouldn't be able to get a single one of these sentences out without a journalist barracking the person saying it constantly. The UK media is in quite a state.
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points. (clip via @DropSiteNews)

even if you ignore the politics, how the fuck did AIPAC Shakur aka AIPAC Rocky aka Hakeem Jeffries, who is a total charisma void and clearly a fucking moronic idiot, rise to the level of becoming the anointed House Speaker for Democrats? Even among the centrist Zionists there are way better people just purely on basic political skills, like the ability to speak coherently. Why this fucking idiot who the moment any normal person hears him they get an overwhelming feeling of cringe and disgust? The answer is because he is a total 100% craven tool of the ruling elites. There is no original thought in his empty mind. He's just a mercenary conduit for whatever his genocidal Zionist billionaire corporate donors want, and he's always been that and always will be that.
say hello to the new Speaker of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries aka AIPAC Shakur, who has already received the endorsement of AOCIA and Zohran Mamdani: "Israel today, Israel tomorrow, Israel forever!"
