20 yrs ago today...the Bandidos massacre...8 bodies found just north of Shedden. I responded on @SouthwoldFire Rescue 3. OPP cleared us on arrival. Total on scene time was less than a minute. Police would later dub this one of Canada's worst mass killings. #History

Your #PEFD FF's have responded to several Carbon Monoxide alarms. If you're running a generator be aware that the exhaust can be deadly. Keep the exhaust away from windows & doors. Never run it inside your garage. #COKills #COSafety #OnStorm

Make a home escape plan. Draw a map of each level of the home. Show all doors and windows. Go to each room and point to the two ways out. Practice the plan with everyone in your household, including visitors.

It’s CO Awareness Week! 🏠 Take a moment to test your smoke and CO alarms and remember to do it every month. For extra peace of mind, consider switching to alarms with a 10-year lithium battery so you’re always protected. 🔋For more info, visit georgina.ca/fire
