Last Sunday, the pastor came up with a different approach. He brought out some chairs and placed them on the altar. Then he announced that anyone who had ₦100,000 should come forward, sit on one of the chairs and receive a special blessing within the next 30 days. Fifteen people rushed forward immediately, almost fighting over the seats. One man announced he'll give ₦500,000 instead of ₦100,000. They transferred the money right there. He then called for those who had ₦50,000, and another ten people rushed forward. After collecting the donations, the pastor announced that all the money raised was for the woman who needed surgery. The church became deadly silent.
