I mean I don’t think so. His electricity in og was blue and they intentionally changed it to purple. I don’t think that’s something they did just to match his color palette or reference saiyan saga Vegeta.

Now I do think the og Super anime overdid it a bit with the amount of groveling Vegeta did. They could’ve just had it to where he stays close to Beerus and occasionally serves him food. But still, getting rid of it entirely was way too much.
That's not something you would see Saiyan, Namek, or Cell saga Vegeta do. They'd probably try to escape Earth or bargain with Beerus to become his G.O.D. Candidate or something. Getting rid of Vegeta's groveling actively removes an important part of Modern Vegeta's character.
Vegeta embarrassing himself for Beerus is necessary to his character.

Vegeta KNOWS what Beerus is capable of. And he's come to love the Earth and its people so much to the point where he's completely content with groveling to save it.
