Denying health benefits to working people with families is cruel and unlawful. A company owner's religious beliefs do not make it okay. @benhklein and I will fight for our client.

I’m sure I’m not the first to say this but I’m overwhelmed by the irony of the IRGC producing savvy propaganda videos for Americans while simultaneously blocking internet access for everyone living in Iran.

This story about James Dolan surveilling and then banning a diehard trans Knicks fan breaks my heart. This woman clearly loved going to the games and supporting the team. Then it’s cruelly taken away from her. She’s deleted all social media and gone underground.
Using facial recognition tech, the Knicks surveilled a trans woman, tracking her every move out of fear she'd show up on MSG's tv broadcast
And they can do it to any "enemy" of Jim Dolan, who's built his own deep state. From @NoahShachtman

Uh, Race isn't biological it's a social construct. There's more genetic variation within racial groups than between them. Skin color is real, but racial categories are made up. They're outdated labels that justify inequality, not reflect human reality
This speaks volumes about our current crises.

BREAKING: Gov. Kelly Ayotte has *vetoed* House Bill 324, a bill to make it easier for parents and guardians to remove "obscene" books and materials from schools.
Veto confirmed via Secretary of State's Office. GOP lawmakers will need 2/3 majorities to overturn.

Today’s Supreme Court ruling is a gut punch to the trans youth fighting for a chance to blossom on their own terms, and to the families and doctors doing everything they can to help them. Be gentle with yourself and others today. All we truly have is each other.
This was a plot on My So-Called Life. A queer teacher saved a queer teen from homelessness. The teacher was not a radical activist. He was there for someone in need.
A radical activist teacher in Colorado and her trans husband now live with a minor student against the parent’s wishes.
That student, diagnosed with autism, identifies as trans too. And police say there is nothing they could do to get the kid out.
Must-read from @JohnsonHildy
It’s true that most parents have unconditional love for their children and only want to do what is best for them. That doesn’t mean that every parent of a teenager provides a safe home.

Let me say it again:
Trans people deserve to play sports.
Trans people deserve health care.
Trans people deserve access to bathrooms.
Trans people deserve to be treated like human beings.
This Congresswoman loves you and will always have your back.
