The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: Loose retelling of the Passion narrative and Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Snow Queen,” plus a bit of Le Morte d’Arthur
Prince Caspian: A riff on Hamlet, with a dose of Norse myth and medieval romance
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader: The Odyssey and the imrams (medieval Irish tales about journeys across the sea in pursuit of wonders)
The Horse and His Boy: a loving homage to The Arabian Nights
The Silver Chair: a medieval quest narrative with nods to Sir Gawain & the Green Knight, The Faerie Queene and Tam Lin
The Magician’s Nephew: Paradise Lost meets Edith Nesbit
The Last Battle: Edmund Spenser (Mother Hubberd’s Tale) and The Book of Revelation
the chronicles of narnia don't get enough credit for being so different from each other. No two of them are written in the same genre.
LWW: "conventional" hero's journey fantasy
Prince Caspian: uncategorizable, no idea what he was going for here tbh
Voyage of the Dawn Treader: CS Lewis' The Odyssey
The Silver Chair: CS Lewis' Pilgrim's Progress
Horse and His Boy: CS Lewis' Arabian Nights
Magician's Nephew: multiverse scifi!
The Last Battle: apocalypse fantasy
very impressive, imo, to do this while returning you to a world and storytelling style that feels familiar from book to book
Americans impoverished are over weight. Above the world poverty line by crazy a margin and are giving people medical care on their own backs.
Yes, we have done all the things you have highlighted.

Monthly reminder that in the last Narnia book, the king of Narnia is tied to a tree helpless while his people are slaughtered by brown devil worshippers from the south who were let into the country by an Atheist Monkey who tricks everyone by using a SKINSUIT of their religion.
C.S. Lewis’ family has issued an official statement supporting Greta Gerwig’s Narnia and praising her lifelong passion for the books. bit.ly/4Buu39d

America has a gun
With (very few) apologies to Brian Bilston
England is CCTV.
France, a cop with lock and key.
Greece, once free, now bends the knee.
But, America has a gun.
Sweden jails the ones who fight.
Germany fines bad words at night.
Spain forbids the wrong to write.
But, America has a gun.
Holland fines what words you say.
Canada takes your knives away.
Australia says, "you must Obey."
While America has a gun.
Japan will bow and not resist.
Scotland bans what they won’t miss.
Freedom bleeds, but still exists
Because America has a gun.
Better risk the fatal cost
Than find that liberty was lost.
The price is high,
The fight, embossed
Because America has a gun.

There should be a logical fallacy called Appeal To Fire. Like when you burn things down you’ve lost the argument.

They are going to try to bury this story because it doesn't fit the narrative. Don't let them. This father rushed into the school and within 2 minutes had eliminated the murderer. This story is a lesson and it cannot be forgotten

I respect Joe immensely and he’s earned his opinion on topics like this through honorable service and unimaginable sacrifice. But I disagree.
The dignity and decency of the fabric of our great nation is fully present in the fact this traitor is alive 16 years after turning a gun on his fellow service members and declaring allegiance to our enemies. He has received a fully adjudicated sentence and if we are righteous in the use of capital punishment then the society mandating it should have the right to see what that actually is.
Executing someone stands as both an act of justice for the victims and a promise fulfilled to would be offenders.
All executions mandated by the will of the people should happen before the eyes of the people.
If it is too ugly to see, perhaps then it is too ugly to do.
But let me not mince words.
Shoot straight soldiers and send his soul to hell where it belongs.
There is no doubt Hassan deserves to die. His crimes were demonic and unforgivable—death by firing squad is borderline too merciful. But broadcasting his execution is beneath the dignity & decency of our nation.
Americans will use violence if and when justified, but we do not rejoice in it. Kill him swiftly & silently.
Streaming his execution is not just a stain on our morality—it also gives the terrorists free propaganda that they will use to radicalize & recruit more terrorists like Hassan.
