Bruhhh See Araujo tackles today. The real definition of kusibe. When he used his head to prevent a shot on the ground, that’s when I called Deco to increase the money to £85m.
Let me tell you why Araujo is doing well at Liverpool. Jordi Cruyff left Barcelona to join Man United in the 90s. He was coming from Spain where if you dribble a player or do a skill, the fans get off their seats. He said when he came to England, Giggs could make a dribble and the fans were happy, but Roy Keane makes a tackle and the whole stadium erupts. It was his biggest shock, to find out that tackles are more celebrated in that part of the world. Araujo did well for Barcelona under Xavi, we were not the best of football this period, not the usual Barcelona, we were having lots of 1-0 wins and scrappy wins, he did well because he’s a passionate defender, most South American defenders are modelled the same way. I’ll describe him as a “kusibe” kind of player. Ask your Yoruba friend to translate. When it got to a coach that required defenders to play and be good on the ball, he’s decent but he’s not that guy. Very error prone and that implied that you’re not playing to his strength, hence, his struggles under Flick. He’s now come to the premier league, a league made for mad people, intensity personified. What a match-made in heaven. The marriage has been beautiful. Every tackle is rewarded with cheers from the fans, which gives Araujo more and more confidence. Can you see that sometimes even in today’s game, you probably expected him to calm and clear the ball towards a mate, but he just puts it out or drops a slide, guess what, the fans love it…but in a Barcelona, you cannot turn over possession to your opponents even if you’re making a clearance. It is different here, Araujo is intense, he can tackle, he can pull, he’s strong, a proper beast. This is the league made for him. League of madness😂

That's funny because at my last strategy meeting with my accountant, they informed me I must use HMRC-recognised Making Tax Digital compatible software, creating an oligopoly for firms like Xero. I must now also report my company's income every three months rather than once a year, as well as a final report at year end. So I now have to pay for a Xero subscription. And pay my accountant more for the increased submissions. And fuck about with reconciling every three months, rather than once a year. For HMRC to end up with the same amount of income from me as before. Fuck off. Just fuck off. Fuck off all the way back to Yorkshire, then fuck off some more.
British firms are fed up with pointless paperwork and form-filling. Today we are cutting unnecessary bureaucracy, reducing costs and giving businesses the breathing space they need to invest, innovate and create good jobs.

You've just introduced the legal requirement for a sole trader to make four quarterly tax returns per year, plus a final annual one, plus four VAT returns. Liars and gaslighters, the lot of you.

Labour have only made it much worse over the last 2 years. Minimum wage increases and NI additions make it too expensive to hire youngsters.

BANK TAX is set to be Healey's main Budget revenue-raiser. But it is possible that it will actually lose money as well as harming investment. Wide Treasury briefings say Healey will reverse the 2023 surcharge cut to take it from 3% back to 8%. This from a chancellor who told the IMF in Bangkok that banks are the “jewel in the British economic crown." Bank taxes in Britain are already incredibly high. PwC puts the total tax rate for a model bank in London at 46.4% versus 27.9% in New York, 28.9% in Dublin and 38.9% in Frankfurt. Crucially if just 7.4% of Britain’s internationally mobile banking business now leaves, a £2 billion tax rise will raise nothing at all and will actually be a cost. This is because losing 10% of mobile banking would cost £2.7 billion a year in tax, £5.8 billion in output, and 25,000 jobs. £700 million a year down the drain… £24.1 billion out of banking’s £43.3 billion tax bill comes from employment taxes. The bank surcharge raised £1.2 billion last year. Which means if staff leave you lose much more in revenue too... In addition a study of 23 EU countries found bank levies were shifted mainly onto borrowers through higher lending rates. When Spain moved a mortgage tax onto banks, the rise in mortgage rates was largest for lower-income borrowers and those with fewer banks nearby. Revolut, Monzo, Shawbrook, and other smaller challenger banks have already warned that a higher surcharge would hit mid-tier and specialist banks hardest. Which provide 60% of British lending to small firms. SMEs are set to take a big hit. The main point is that even if a relatively small proportion of internationally mobile banking activity starts to shift out of the UK, the revenue consequences of an increase in the bank corporation tax surcharge could quickly become negative. Good luck…

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appeared on Meet the Press and asked “Where is Germany?” when discussing Patriot fire units and missiles for Ukraine. The ignorance on display demanded an immediate fact check. Germany has delivered more complete MIM-104 Patriot fire units to Ukraine than the United States. Roughly half of all Patriot systems now defending Ukrainian skies came from Bundeswehr stocks. Between 2023 and 2025 Berlin transferred five fully equipped fire units, plus additional launchers and what is believed to be a spare radar. Germany began supplying Patriots at the same time as the US and has never stopped. Washington halted those transfers long ago. The interceptors tell an even clearer story. With every fire unit Germany shipped dedicated missile packages, including one of 100 and another of 64. These kept the systems operational in the critical early phase. In February 2025 the German Ministry of Defence confirmed it had already delivered 328 Patriot missiles of various types. That figure came before the final two fire units, before multiple PURL and JUMPSTART tranches, and before several smaller direct transfers from German stocks. The total number of financed and delivered Patriot interceptors from Germany now easily exceeds 500. Since President Trump took office Germany has repeatedly taken the lead in organising, financing, and delivering new Patriot munitions to Ukraine. In February 2026 Berlin spent weeks negotiating with multiple partners until more than 30 PAC-3 missiles reached Ukraine. German officials have also conducted high-level talks with Spain and Greece to unlock additional stocks. Berlin does far more than broker transfers. It pays Washington directly for American-made missiles. In June 2026 alone Germany committed 200 million dollars through JUMPSTART and another 200 million through PURL for PAC-3 and other variants. Total German contributions across these channels now surpass 1 billion dollars. In other words, Sec. Bessent, we are the ones funding the very missiles you claim America is generously providing. In April 2026 Germany announced its largest single commitment yet: 3.2 billion euros to procure and deliver 600 PAC-2 GEM-T interceptors for Ukraine’s Patriots. These missiles are manufactured in Germany. The numbers are clear. Germany has outdelivered the United States on complete Patriot fire units. Germany has supplied the majority of the missiles keeping those systems alive. Germany continues to organise urgent packages when Washington does not. And Germany pays Washington hundreds of millions of dollars for American missiles that are then sent to Ukraine. So the next time a senior American official asks “Where is Germany?” on national television, the answer is simple. Germany is doing more for Ukraine’s air defence than the United States, while simultaneously paying your bills. The question now is where Germany stands. The question is why Washington keeps pretending it is carrying a load it long ago dropped.

A historic video – November 22, 1994: The U.S. President thanks Ukraine for giving up its nuclear weapons. In return, the U.S. promises to stand by Ukraine’s side to safeguard its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity well into the future. That future has arrived—yet today, Trump and his circle act as if none of this ever happened. t.me/MirovichMedia/15617

“The war will end without Ukraine’s president. Zelensky is not someone worth dealing with.” “Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries are a disgrace.” “Ukraine sold off missiles it received under Biden.” “Zelensky says he wants a deal, but he doesn’t really want one.” “Ukraine needs elections. People are unhappy because missiles are hitting their apartment buildings.” If you thought these were quotes from Putin, well, no. These are statements from Trump in his latest interview. At this point, I genuinely wonder whether Trump’s briefings on Ukraine come straight from the Kremlin’s propaganda department.

Overnight, the Russians used 39 ballistic missiles and more than 120 attack drones and loitering munitions against our energy and critical infrastructure in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Kharkiv. A targeted Russian ballistic missile strike specifically against energy infrastructure – the very infrastructure covered by the ceasefire announced by the American President. The strike was entirely deliberate and demonstrative in its scale – Russia has never before shown such ostentatious disrespect toward the United States. Russia does not consider the American President’s statements strong. Unfortunately, at least 600,000 people are now without power. Outages could become even more widespread. Unfortunately, there is significant damage to facilities and equipment – at 26 facilities of our power system and four facilities in the oil and gas sector. I am grateful to the repair crews, all Ukrainian energy workers, and the personnel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for all their efforts to address the aftermath of this Russian strike. Tragically, there have been fatalities and injuries. We ask America and EVERYONE in the world who does not turn a blind eye to reality to respond – and to respond forcefully. Russia has squandered the opportunity for de-escalation and has clearly chosen to continue its insane war of annihilation. We ask President Trump to impose STRONG sanctions on Russia, especially since the Lindsey Graham bill, which was recently passed and signed into law, authorizes and regulates such measures. The American President has all the effective and necessary tools to bring peace closer through strength, justice, and pressure on the aggressor. We ask for additional packages of Patriot missile interceptors for Ukraine. It is entirely fair for us to tell the United States, Europe, and all our partners that no country in the world should be left alone to face such a deranged and pro-war actor as Russia. I am grateful to everyone who helps Ukraine! Peace can only come through strength, and we ask America to remember this principle of Reagan’s. Glory to Ukraine!

Andy, if you want to help, scrap Labour’s upcoming fuel duty hike. Diesel has already hit £2 a litre. As the RAC has highlighted, 43% of the price is tax. Give people a break, not more taxes!
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.   The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.   But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.   That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.   It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.

Andy Burnham has posted a misleading tweet trying to claim credit for the fact that Google Maps lists petrol prices. "I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help," he says, ignoring the fact that his government has already hoovered up another £110m in additional tax revenue on higher fuel prices since the 1st of August and that tax constitutes 47% of the price of petrol. If fuel prices stay at their current levels, the full extra amount that Labour will rake in from VAT on fuel by next August is £1.2bn. Moreover if Labour's planned 3p fuel duty increase on 1 January 2027, followed by 2p on 1 March 2027 and an April RPI uplift go ahead, then another £1.7bn of revenue will be raised in the first 7 months of 2027, meaning a total tax increase of £2.95bn over the Aug 26 to Aug 27 period. If Burnham really wanted to make fuel more affordable, the least he would do is to reduce the level of tax so the government was no longer raking in even more cash from higher fuel prices.
