Why is the solo different on the Apple Music version of “I Want Everything” by @luna_theband? ☹️ That original solo (as heard on my version of the CD at least) is such a beautiful moment in a beautiful recording of a gorgeous song. Sadly missed.

Obviously Steve Albini will be best remembered for the records he made, but the amount of practical knowledge he generously shared about recording was also truly remarkable.

This is a very deep and wide record. I think it’s the most hi-fi and cinematic Grandaddy ever. I feel like it should be heard on big speakers, like movie theater speakers. It’s a Panavision world of open dusty spaces, watched from the balcony if possible.

@jasonlytle @Grandaddy made a video for the new song Watercooler, and it's pretty much going to win all of the awards. Nice work Jason and @aaronbeckum! Sudden urge to sing karaoke now. youtu.be/UZxvjMPZeZE?si=JonP…
