Northern Ontario has waited long enough for a safer, more reliable Highway 69.   Our government is introducing the Building Highway 69 Faster Act to cut through red tape and accelerate the widening of Highway 69 between Parry Sound and Sudbury by five years.   We're improving road safety, strengthening our northern economy and getting it done faster. Now, more than ever, we need a Team Canada approach to protect our workers, businesses and communities.  
 
Yesterday, I wrote to Ontario’s 444 municipalities to make clear our expectation that they fully comply with Buy Ontario policies and maximize the use of Ontario and Canadian goods and services.    In the face of U.S. tariffs, every procurement dollar matters. Together, we will stand up for our workers, strengthen our economy and protect Ontario.
