EPISODE 137 IS HERE!!!
The young guns have showed up the last 5 games (3-2-0). Here are the Top5 scoring leaders.
Michkov: 8P
Zegras: 8P
Martone: 4P
Bonk: 3P
Knuble: 2P
We talk about how crazy it is they started this bad with really good goaltending minus the Pittsburgh opener
We also get into potential trades we could see if these young kids keep proving they’re the next core of this team.
PP is at 22.7% since October 14th. Good for 14th in the league. Michkov 4 PPP’s.
That and a lot, lot more. Come join us!

Asked Matvei Michkov today where his celebration came from last game.
“I don’t know. Maybe I look at highlights on Instagram. But I right now, delete Instagram.”
Why delete it?
"Just (focus) on hockey."

Episode 136 is here!
Well, the #Flyers are 0-5-3 to start the season. It’s October 14th and they have still yet to win a hockey game.
Dan Vladar, Oliver Bonk, Matvei Michkov, and stretches of Trevor Zegras were the only bright spots against Seattle last night, who after the 1st period, looked like they couldn’t be less interested in playing at times.
Still, despite having the momentum on their side…the Flyers played their famous passive, “let’s get to OT!” system the rest of the way and lost in a shootout.
We talk about the Di Marco + Konecny blog. Things are only going to get worse

If you want to get a good laugh in on this Sunday morning. this guy is trying to find a way to blame Claude Giroux for the 2026-2027 Philadelphia Flyers.
Sidney Crosby would spend his offseason firing pucks and working on his game.
Claude Giroux spent his summers at the cottage and playing drunken grabass with Mounties.
The veterans on this team were the kids who saw this fanbase venerate that guy (and still defend him.)
If youre confused about how a situation can survive multiple coaches, multiple GMs, a decade of futility...
remember...'you cant trade all the players.'

🟠 EPISODE 135!! 🟠
Well, the Flyers are 0-1-2 to start the season and have been outshot 122-62. Exactly the start we were all hoping for, right?
In Episode 135, we react to the abysmal start from the boys and some of the weird comments from Rick in some of these postgames
Joseph Woll has been fantastic. He is 78 of 84 (.928%) to start his Flyers career and is the sole reason this team even has a point through their first 3 games of the season. We talk about what makes him so good and the possibility that he could take the starting job if Vladar looks shaky again.
The last time they started a season this bad was 2014-2015 (also 0-2-1).
Owen Tippett, Travis Koneny, Matvei Michkov, and Travis Sanheim (and Woll, ofc) are the only Flyers who have realized the regular season has started, apparently. We go over the rest of the roster and try to comprehend why more than half of the team looks like they're still playing golf.
The PP is 0/8 to start the season. It somehow got worse?
The entire defensive unit (minus Sanheim at times) has been brutal. Now they lose Ristolainen, potentially?
We talked about putting Barkey at center when he comes back from injury to try to help the breakouts defensively and get speed going through the NZ
They have TB, OTT, BOS, CAR, and SEA in the next 5 games. If they lose all but 1... does the seat get hot?

🟠 EPISODE 134!!!! 🟠
The Leo Carlsson offer sheet was matched; time to move on. The Flyers didn't get their 1C. Now, let's dive into what DID happen.
On Episode 134 of The Liberty Yell, the boys discussed everything that has happened in Flyers land since we all last talked. Trevor Zegras (4x$9.125m) and Jamie Drysdale (4x$6.5m) both avoided arbitration and signed new deals with the Flyers. Two huge current and future pieces of this team. We have Matvei Michkov coming into camp, giving full English interviews, and looking slimmed down and ready to go. We dive into his entire offseason and Rick's positive comments this summer.
Should the Flyers lock him up now? Or wait?
The Flyers have made it a real point to fix the power play this season.
Yesterday, they had a 5-man unit of Trevor Zegras, Porter Martone, Matvei Michkov, Tyson Forster, and Jamie Drysdale. Tocchet made it a point that even if this unit starts slow, he'll stick by them because he'd be an
"idiot" if he did yank them after a couple of bad games.
The preseason (0-2) start isn't what we wanted, but we were watching the Phantoms team with a couple of NHLers sprinkled in there. Knuble (who has been fantastic) and Luchanko are what's left of the roster bubble forwards after cuts. Jiricek, Bonk, Benoit, and Grans remain for the defense. We go over our guesses of who makes it and who doesn't.
GO FLYERS!!!

Rick Tocchet on Matvei and his confidence 3-days into camp.
Before Michkov left for Russia in the summer Rick told him the corners is where “you can be really good for us”. He said he obviously isn’t comparing him to Jagr but mentions the “jagr-like ability” to take hits and still hang-on to pucks and ability to make plays off the wall. #Flyers
