“It’s disgusting. Cllr Lee Scordis is an utter disgrace”. An outrageous outburst by the sole Labour Essex County Councillor Lee Scordis yesterday at Full Council relating to Operation Vanguard and its mission to protect the Essex public. In order to blatantly and inappropriately smear the security initiative he told the chamber that two members of the MLB security team had been ‘sacked’ for ‘wrongdoing’. He described it as an incident, a fact. And asked it to be ‘flagged’ and for reassurances that it ‘wouldn’t happen again’. Except, it’s not true. It’s a made up allegation. Totally fabricated. It’s a lie. It never happened. No one has been sacked from the MLB team and there was no wrongdoing. I immediately stood to ask Cllr Scordis for his source. He declined to tell us. I expressed my view that his assertion was a silly internet conspiracy theory. Peter Harris, ECC Leader, asked him to retract the claim. He didn’t. It’s incredible that the left are so keen to besmirch initiatives designed to protect the British public and to instead defend Wethersfield illegal migrants, that they will fabricate slurs to try to get their own way politically. It’s disgusting. And Cllr Lee Scordis is an utter disgrace.
