Lost in all of the discourse is that Luka and Reaves look good on defense this year. Kessler and a new scheme has done wonders for them.

I spent all offseason telling everyone the Spurs would take a step back and so far I’m very vindicated. Last year was a fluke run and they have some major issues staring them in the face.

I don’t think Looney has been that awful, he’s just been average and plays a style that doesn’t fit with this team so it makes him look worse.

Half of the Luka turnovers to start the season are him throwing to spaces he’s expecting teammates to be. One of the easiest things to clean up with film and reps. These early woes are gonna turn into killer offense when everyone is humming.

Need to see more Sexton but I like his energy. He clearly needs time to assimilate but I see the vision of him as a bench guy. There’s so much to be positive about, just gotta have patience.

The threat of Luka to Kessler is so great that teams have to ask can they guard that or Reaves' elite driving ability. Lakers trio are building something incredible. This process is gonna be amazing to watch grow.

There were probably 10 combined turnovers from Luka/Austin tonight where it truly seemed like no one knew what was supposed to be happening. Little early to worry but someone is missing plays in these lineups.

Lakers have an elite offense already while it is very clear these guys are still learning each other. Defense isn't elite, but there is the same situation on that side, too. Bright days ahead for Lakers fans.

Lakers offense this year feels inevitable. Someone is struggling? Shots are off? Lots of turnovers? Don't matter. They are gonna dump on your ass and go no insane runs.
