We are just about at the 2 year mark since the fires and only 1% of fire survivors have returned. This is far and away the slowest fire recovery in state history. Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass should never be allowed to run anything ever again...not even a fucking gelato stand.

California reported 26,942,532 registered voters in 2022.
California’s citizen voting-age population was 26,028,290.
California refused when the DOJ and @AAGDhillon requested to inspect the voter rolls last year.
This weeks DOJ legal action into LA County will provide answers California has refused to answer, namely, if ineligible voters are voting in elections.

🚨BREAKING: Los Angeles County redirected $5 million from a wildfire housing fund to rent checks for households “impacted” by ICE — and they don’t check immigration status.
The program can pay up to $15,000 per rental unit.
County paperwork created “Category 3”: tenants facing hardship from “federal actions targeting immigrant communities.” Supervisors then moved wildfire and Affordable Housing Trust money into that bucket.
The original pot was sold as help for Eaton and Palisades fire tenants and landlords. Half of a $10 million fire housing allocation went the other way. More trust-fund dollars followed unless fire victims still had unpaid needs.
Meanwhile, thousands of fire families are still waiting to go home.

The predicted wind gusts in the Palisades for the fire weather event tomorrow are in the low to mid 30's. The wind gusts in the Palisades when my house was burning down peaked at just 38 mph.
There's this myth that we had hurricane force winds. Nah, man. Gusts were in the low 20's for the first 5 hours of the fire. Right now, we have both reservoirs still offline, 2 water mains just broke, and they let ALL the brush regrow around us, plus there are dozens of open timber-framed homes everywhere.
