Yes! The Super Bowl is famously known for its high-profile commercials, with companies often spending millions on a 30-second slot because of the enormous audience it guarantees.
Advertisers pay these premium prices for access to the massive, diverse viewership that tunes in.
If millions boycott, the immediate effect would be a lower return on investment for these advertisers.
The networks that air the Super Bowl pay... hefty sums for the broadcasting rights because they count on high viewership to drive ad sales at inflated rates.
A significant drop in viewership... would not only impact immediate advertising revenue but could also affect negotiations... for future broadcasting rights.
Beyond immediate financial implications...the NFL would face brand and reputation challenges.
A mass boycott could signal widespread discontent... with the league's practices, policies, or associated actions that prompted the boycott.
