BREAKING: Oil exec Citizen’s Arrested in Mayfair this afternoon.
The public have had enough of corporate executives polluting our seas and getting away with it.
Perenco Vice President Legal, Jonathan Parr was citizen’s arrested outside his offices on his lunch break. The women making the arrest then called the police, however Parr refused to wait for them to arrive.
Police at the scene promised to look into the Perenco executives crimes but ruled out arresting Parr today after being handed a dossier of evidence accusing Parr of intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance, contrary to section 78 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022.

Polling shows 70% of people think any damage to the environment by oil and water companies should be a criminal offence, and 74% say it’s the companies CEOs and senior directors who should personally be held to account.
We have evidence that oil executives like Shell's CEO may already be breaking the law by committing crimes of public nuisance.

A poll by @Survation of over 2k UK public showed that most people don’t think environmental pollution should just be a matter of company fines.
The public know that companies pay the fines and carry on committing the crimes. It’s time we take these CEOs to court.

Over the last few months, Thames Water's creditors tried to make a deal with regulators that would have allowed them to dodge fines and environmental scrutiny for four years.
Following years of sewage dumping, poor service and financial mismanagement, having the brass neck to even suggest such a sweetheart deal beggars belief.
I'm glad that in June, the government stepped in to reject the creditors demands. This would not have happened without the pressure put on them by MPs, campaigners and members of the public.
I was proud to hand in this letter to the Environment Secretary, signed by 111 MPs, expressing our outrage at the creditors' proposal.
The only solution to the failures of Thames Water is public ownership.
Everyone knows it's time to jail the water bosses. We're not waiting to hold them to account. Support us in gathering the evidence we need to citizen's arrest the UK's biggest polluters. chuffed.org/project/can
Brilliant, brilliant exposé by Alex Thomson @alextomo on @Channel4News last night, blowing the lid of the corrupt, and it is corruption of the @EnvAgency allowing water companies to walk away from criminal charges, jail time, unlimited fines and all for nothing more than a slap on the wrist and some blood money paid to local charities.
It's time to put an end to this nonsense, it's time to hold people to account, it's time to send the fat cats to jail.

Quite shocking hearing going on right now in parliament.
The totally hopeless South East Water @sewateruk is appearing before the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee @CommonsEFRA
This is proper hide behind the sofa, peek through you fingers viewing. Brilliant job by the committee, surgically exposing the contemptuous, arrogant, incompetent way water companies are run.

"MPs demand answers over water firms sending bailiffs to homes as cases double since pandemic."
Since privatisation water companies have been found guilty of 1,200 criminal offences yet not one single executive has ever been investigated never mind prosecuted. Clearly we've got things thing wrong way round.

Congratulations to @WindrushWasp on winning their legal battle to expose corporate corruption - another layer of our broken water and energy systems. Let's continue to hold polluting companies to account and push for fairer, better systems that serve the public.

The country NEEDS a Danny Dyer x @Feargal_Sharkey collaboration. Between them and us conducting citizen's arrests and taking them to court, these water company CEOs are finally meeting their match...

Did @Channel4News just suggest the people of Kent consider citizen's arresting the CEO of South East Water?

Great to see MPs demanding water bosses are held to account.
We've had enough of companies paying fines while they carry on. These executives are breaking the law and putting the public at risk. We have the evidence. It's time they are personally prosecuted.

Absolute car crash for @sewateruk
I cannot think of a time when three MPs appeared on TV to demand the removal of a Chief Executive.
It is astounding that the board has watched this fiasco and done nothing to sack him.
