A transportation hierarchy that places walking at the top, then bicycling and transit (which are all of course tightly related), and motor vehicle travel at the bottom. @CivicThread #MeasureANotOK

The City of Sac is pushing to increase the # of people who use transit & bikes & walking to get around to 10-12%. Currently it’s at 2%. This tax measure does nothing to help us get to 12%. #votenoonA

For the past year, @SacIWD members have been engaging with and educating their networks about Community Benefits Agreement ordinances. SIWD also held four community workshops and conducted a community survey to gather feedback on the language for the CBA Ordinance.

SacRT light rail vehicles minimize air pollution, as they are 100% powered by electricity and most buses use compressed natural gas (CNG) which produces fewer pollutants, other vehicles are 100 percent zero-emission electric battery powered vehicles.
