some really good trackpad improvements for Windows 11 here. It’s the little things like this that count 👍
Friday’s Windows tip of the day!
If you use a Windows PC with a touchpad and spend a lot of time scrolling through long documents, webpages, or code, this one’s for you.
Three touchpad improvements we’ve been working on: accelerated scrolling, edge scrolling, and single-finger scrolling. Small details that make everyday navigation feel more natural and comfortable.
Accelerated scrolling is available today, with edge scrolling and single-finger scrolling coming next week to WIP.
Here’s a quick look at them in action:

We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

I'm happy to share that Mojo and MAX are now fully open - for development, extension, and commercial use! This includes the full Mojo programming language, but also the MAX graph compiler, MLRT runtime internals, and hardware abstraction logic.
Get your agents going!👇

Maps in Rive! This will be released as a public library for Rive so you can add it to any of your projects! It renders standard Mapbox Vector Tiles from any source (including Mapbox's own APIs). It's fully controllable, stylizable, and can be placed anywhere (in a nested artboard, rendered to a texture, etc). Uses new features like AnimaScript, Threading API, and Fetch. Everything you see is dynamically loaded and processed on the fly.
The camera API is modelled on the Mapbox Maps SDK, but also gives you full access to custom shaders, rendering Rive artboards into the maps, etc. It switches between our 2D vector renderer and 3D (GPU Canvas) based renderer depending on the camera alignment. You can also force it via a mode to use one or the other.

It's not a new feature, but everyone I've shown this Apple Watch tip to has fallen in love with it. It's a great, subtle way to check you're not running late for a meeting while staying focused on a conversation. support.apple.com/guide/watc…

Epic Games released an official plugin that lets Claude Code control Unreal Engine directly.
It connects Claude Code to the Unreal Editor and exposes hundreds of editor tools across 30+ toolsets:
→ Actors, Blueprints and materials
→ Niagara effects, Control Rigs and Sequencer
→ State Trees, widgets and the Gameplay Ability System
→ Automation testing
Install it from Anthropic's official plugin marketplace:
/plugin install unreal-engine-skills-for-claude-code@claude-plugins-official
In Unreal, enable the ModelContextProtocol and AllToolsets plugins, then start the MCP server with the editor open.
Works on Mac, Linux, and Windows through Git Bash or WSL.

This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax.
- 100-500× faster than mermaid.js
- 6× smaller bundle
- No dependencies
- Easy to theme
- Responsive to device width
In pursuit of making Obsidian insanely fast and cohesively designed, I always found the Mermaid library to be too big, too slow, and too hard to theme. Pele will be the new renderer in the next version of Obsidian, but you can start using it now.
Pele [ˈpɛlɛ] is named after the goddess of volcanoes and fire. It's open source under the MIT license. Try the playground!

Muse Spark Open -- weights releasing today -- runs great on new Mac Studios thanks to work with @johnternus and Apple.
Super excited to ship the new Photo Viewer and Editor! Faster launch times, nearly 50% less RAM used by the Editor, and tons of new features!
One detail worth showing off: Photo Viewer is now edge-to-edge. Zoom into a photo and watch it take over the entire window!
