5P's PE days are every Wednesday and Thursday. Please check the school website for our PE uniform expectations. Our outdoor learning sessions will take place every two weeks, starting Friday 18th September.

Another wonderful evening meeting 5P's wonderful adults! Thank you for your time. It was lovely informing you about your children's fabulous starts to year 5.

A huge thank you to all of the adults that attended round one of 5P's parent teacher meetings yesterday. It was a pleasure talking about the successes of your wonderful children! I am looking forward to round two tonight! 😄

Did you know that relative clauses are a special type of subordinate clause? We've learnt how relative clauses give extra information about a noun in the main clause and we must use a relative pronoun to start it off. Look at these fabulous examples from some fantastic children.

Wowwww, what super work!

We're making frame structures today and have made an excellent start. Last week, we studied different frame structures and planned our own ideas for playground equipment. We're working well as a team, ensuring we stay safe whilst using the glue gun and saw.

In PE today, we are using our #teamwork skills to pass the ball safely to our fellow team mates. We are using netball techniques such as pivoting as well as specific passes and throws such as the chest pass, bounce pass and shoulder pass to do this effectively.

We had fun playing a game in @YPSEnglish today. We've been learning about root words and how suffixes change their meaning slightly. We had to find our partner and discuss word meaning. #teamwork #aspire

We are enjoying our value hour this afternoon. In groups, we have a £50k budget and have to decide how best to improve our school. There's some great mathematical discussion floating around the room and lots of creative ideas - from a swimming pool to a gym! #decisiveness

Big thank you to @thebodycoach , who came and did workouts with the children at @yardleyprimary earlier today! An excellent time was had by children and staff - what a fabulous day! 👏 💪

We explored shadows in @YPSScience and why shadows may look different depending on what time of day it is. There were some interesting conversations involving how the sun spins on axis and how light sources such as the sun or a torch can cause shadows with a solid object.
