In this article, we examine how capitalism exploits racial divisions, how Reform UK uses Black History Month to fuel its reactionary politics, and why genuine class solidarity means recognising the struggles and contributions of all workers, regardless of race. Our history belongs to our class, not the ruling class. classconsciousnessproject.bl… classconsciousnessproject.bl…

Up to 800,000 people in France🇫🇷 were on the streets for the uprising against the neoliberal government of Emmanuel Macron today, according to the CGT trade union; a rebellion against the oligarch class.  This is a revolt by the struggling working classes of France who have seen their living conditions decline and their wealth disappear, not because of immigrants, but the immense concentration of wealth by the shareholder class, at the expense of everyone else.  In 2024, 9.8 million people in metropolitan France live below the poverty line, with 16.3% being at risk of poverty in 2026. Households have seen a catastrophic loss of purchasing power, an IFE estimate shows a family of two adults and two children has lost €1,200 in purchasing power since 2024.  By 2024, the richest 1% in France controlled 27.7% of total national household wealth, and took in 11.8% of national income.  In education, the situation is shockingly dire. 15.4 million teaching hours have been lost in France across the last school year because absent staff were not replaced. The average secondary school class size is now above 30, a record high. 53% of schools are short of teachers. And the approximate salary for teachers? Just €2100.  A child born and schooled in a deprived neighbourhood in France has less chance of escaping their socioeconomic background than in most developed nations according to the OECD.  The media wants to divide people by blaming the protests on immigrants, pushing the narrative of ‘indigenous French vs immigrant protesters’ to completely avoid class struggle. In reality this is the French working classes rising up in unity as their living standards and material conditions deteriorate, while Macron’s government continues to serve the oligarchy.
FRANCE🇫🇷 PROTESTS DEBATE Prof. Paul Craig Roberts: ‘We are watching people who have been neglected for decades by their own government. Their needs have never been important. The government put everything in front, and not just the French government, all of the Western European governments, the British and the American. Globalism, not the interest of the people. Social programs for the immigrant invaders, not for truck drivers. We've seen the people become convinced that the governments in Europe do not represent them, and the frustration, the lack of jobs for the young university graduates, the declining living standards, ethnic Europeans can't afford children. And yet they pay for the upkeep of immigrant invaders. It's a feeling of alienation, and it's, I think, separating the European ethnic peoples from their governments.’ Afshin Rattansi: ‘France went into Libya, which aided the refugee crisis in Western Europe, but it's not that new. I mean, in '61, the French police were mass murdering Algerians on the streets of Paris, drowning them in the Seine. And most of these people, anyway, are French-born and third-generation French. It has to be said. And the refugee crisis, every time one of these Western European countries goes to war, presumably they should be calculating the increase in the number of refugees, just as during the Reagan administration, they should have realised death squads in El Salvador would cause immigration into the US.’ Watch the full interview 👇

Sick Chirpse recently reported that Ryan Ferguson, the racist little reactionary dwarf, was refused fuel at a petrol station in Liverpool. The staff member reportedly told him: "I know who you are and I know what you stand for." An act of defiance as simple as this demonstrates something far more powerful than two groups shouting at each other across the street. It demonstrates the power of class consciousness in practice. Reactionaries like Ferguson thrive on attention and division. Their purpose is to turn workers against one another, directing the anger of the working class towards immigrants and minorities rather than the capitalist class responsible for the destruction of their material conditions. They rely on publicity, intimidation and the illusion that they represent ordinary working people. But they are powerless without the very working class they seek to divide. We should refuse to normalise their politics, legitimise their propaganda or allow those reactionaries any oxygen within our communities. The strength of the working class lies not simply in its numbers, but in its organisation, solidarity and understanding of its own class interests. A conscious and organised working class has no need for these reactionaries, but the capitalist system has every reason to employ these hateful figures to sow division in our communities. When workers recognise their collective power and learn to use it, no amount of reactionary propaganda can substitute for the material strength of an organised class.

Stop spreading lies and misinformation The vandalism shown occurred in a Jewish cemetery in Dundalk, Maryland in 2023, not the UK. The perpetrator, George Horn, pleaded guilty on October 20, 2026
My heart is filled with sorrow and shock after yet another anti-semitic attack in the UK. The UK is no longer safe for Jewish people. We need much tougher anti-semitism laws in the UK, otherwise Jewish people will simply leave. Praying for all of those affected by this.

Actually, STFU! Is it just me or are people who say the word actually in every other sentence irritating pompous twats? They seem to think it adds force to their points “Actually” is one of those words people seem to think makes them sound more authoritative, as though sticking it in front of every other point somehow gives it extra weight. Usually, it just makes them sound like pompous know-alls. “Actually, I think you’re wrong.” “Actually, it’s quite simple.” “Actually, that’s not what happened.” You can take the word out and lose absolutely nothing. It doesn’t make an opinion any more intelligent, an argument any stronger, or the person speaking any more right. All it does is give an ordinary sentence a faintly smug, condescending edge, as if they’re constantly correcting the world and putting the rest of us straight. Occasionally “actually” is perfectly legitimate. But when it crops up in every other sentence, it starts to sound less like a useful word and more like an (ad)verbal tic belonging to someone who’s rather too impressed with their own opinions. Notice how many offenders are terribly well-spoken Guardian-reading liberals, many possessing Islington addresses, with an entitled sense of moral superiority. A high concentration of these arsewipes can be found wandering the corridors of the Palace of Westminster. By Ian Foster.

King Leopold II is not demonized like Hitler because his victims were Black Africans — and Black lives have never mattered to the people who built their wealth on our suffering. He killed over 20 million innocent Congolese, and oversaw a regime that amputated the hands of countless Africans. Leopold was even buried in a Catholic church. Even worse, Europe still honors this colonial monster with monuments, while his African victims are forgotten. Imagine an African leader doing this to 20 million Europeans. Would the world ever let them forget ? Western hypocrisy is absolutely disgusting.

For the youngsters, the Party was something absolute, all inclusive-the air they breathed, the bread they ate, the iron they cast. For Shor, the Party was something so close to his heart that at times he blushed when talking about his work, like a man recounting the intimate details of his private life. The party had seemed tiny to him when he first joined it. They met in Fischberg's flat- Comrade Yegor, Comrade Varya, Comrade Smirnov. Their fingers were stained with ink; they poured gelatine into a tray and drew out the pallid leaflets. Their thoughts were clear but the letters were as hazy as the future. Twenty-four years had passed since then. Now the Party seemed to Shor as huge as the world. It built industrial combines, opened up the steppe, pumped oil along pipelines and kindled Martin furnaces. It fostered a hundred and fifty million people. The Party's road was long. That road, to Shor, was life. shop.thecommunists.org/produ…

What a complete and utter miserable failure Sanders is.
Disgraceful. Trump sacrifices Ukrainian lives in order to appease his fellow authoritarian, Mr. Putin. The U.S. must release the transfer of interceptor missiles to Ukraine. No U.S. alliance with the Russian dictatorship.

Capitalism needs hyper-individualism to survive. It thrives on division, breaking down communities, destroying class unity and convincing us that we are individuals constantly competing against each other rather than members of the same class with shared interests. But here's the contradiction. Everything is social. From the things we produce to the things we consume, nothing exists without collective labour and social activity. Every factory, every building, every product we purchase is the result of workers endeavours. Capitalism depends on social production while encouraging individualism. It relies on the collective labour of millions while allowing a tiny minority to privately appropriate the wealth they create. And this is why capitalism can never overcome its own contradictions. The ruling class needs its class enemy to survive, but here's the thing. The working class has no need for the ruling class. We produce everything. They merely leech off our labour like parasites.

Social democracy (Labour in the UK) paves the way for fascism. Always and everywhere, when the workers’ discontent rises and the liberation movement to bring real socialism gathers organisation strength. The suppression of the palestine solidarity movement by the “Labour” party on the UK demonstrates this just as clearly as the Social Democratic Party in Germany allying with Hitler to crush the militant Marxist, communist working class movement in Germany in the 1930s. “The Bankruptcy of Social Fascism. By its daily role in the class struggle, social fascism shows itself to be the road, not to Socialism but to the still deeper enslavement of the workers. The Social Fascist method of obscuring the capitalist policy under the guise of Socialism is an insidious menace.” - William Z. Foster - Toward Soviet America (1932)
