Creators with a platform big enough to pay bills have a responsibility they keep ignoring.
When someone gets called out for griefing a tournament for content, the response is immediate insults (“P_retard,” “shut the fuck up,” “get the fuck off my dick”), open admission of farming the other player because he’s “an asshole,” and an explicit “I would do it again.” The facts get buried under the performance. The same pattern shows up across the space: escalate first, justify the behavior as content or the other person being worse, treat the reaction as authenticity.
This isn’t harmless. People of different ages and impulse control watch this and treat it as a model. Public displays of that style validate the same reactivity in ranked, in chats, and in smaller circles. The community already has enough toxicity, racism complaints, tournament drama, and throwing issues. Adding more of the same from people who can actually make a living off the game makes it worse, not better.
Having an audience that supports you is something to be grateful for. It doesn’t give permission to act like a child because the algorithm rewards it. Set a better example. The pattern is clear and it’s not helping the scene improve.
P_retard disrespectfully, shut the fuck up. Firstly I wasn’t supposed to BE in the tournament. I got a call from @DayMR__ an HOUR before the tournament was supposed to start to sub for a player who had already left. I had a funeral I was scheduled to play at later on in the day but because Day needed my help i told him I would be able to play through placements. Yes I farmed lucky for content because he’s a genuine asshole and I made something out of an already shitty situation and frankly I would do it again. Despite that fact me and my duo barely had time to come up with a strategy we actually managed to advance for the night. After which, I left for the funeral I was already scheduled to play for. But leave it to a top 500 toxic piece of shit to be as dense as you. And defending someone like luckyzeal is very telling of your character as a person. Get the fuck of my dick and don’t ever speak on me again without getting ur facts straight.
Why are there so many Rivals creators that have a defensive style to engagement farm and spread toxicity while claiming to be against it.
It’s the same pattern over and over again. Especially that Entei dude. High-reactivity aggression mixed with selective justification. It generates engagement and pushes back on accusations, but it escalates toxicity, prioritizes content over competition, and weakens accountability.
The toxicity in the community is never going away when that sort of behavior is the norm and rewarded.
Thoughts? (Not my nails, but this is what I showed my nail tech I wanted)
Getting a mani pedi 🧘 gotta treat yo self
Eldian loves watching my play Ghost of Yotei. He gets excited when he sees me pet the different animals, especially the wolves.
