#EthereumClassic at $7000 per ETC? Here's why...
- No move fast, break it, fork it, fix it
- Unique positioning: PoW + smart contract + fixed monetary policy niche
- Ethereum's migration to Proof-of-Stake: Where'd all the miners go?

Two kinds of programmable money are coming:
One is programmed by a central bank.
One is programmed by you.
CBDCs can be frozen, limited, or set to expire.
Ethereum Classic runs on code no one can change for you.
Choose wisely.

Some chains run on social consensus:
if enough people agree, the rules change.
#EthereumClassic runs on code is law:
the rules are the rules.
One is flexible.
The other is reliable.
When it’s your money, which do you want?

Per the ETC Cooperative: last year, @crm_hq helped @coinbase with MiCAR white paper compliance. That work made $ETC a compliant, tradable asset on European exchanges.

#EthereumClassic is the largest proof-of-work blockchain that runs native L1 smart contracts.
Sounds technical. Here’s what it actually means for you:
If you hold crypto:
Your coins live on a chain secured by real-world energy and hardware, not by a pool of stakers who can be pressured, regulated, or captured.
Fixed supply. No surprise monetary policy changes. No committee deciding your money is worth less this year.
Hard money, like #Bitcoin. But it does more.
If you build:
On Bitcoin, the most you can really do on-chain is move coins from A to B. Smart contracts get bolted on through sidechains and bridges, which are exactly the weak points that get exploited.
On $ETC, your app runs inside proof-of-work security.
Not on a sidechain. Not behind a bridge. Inside.
Same EVM tools you already know. Stronger foundation underneath.
If you just don’t want to get locked in:
A lot of networks are easy to join today and easy to control tomorrow. The more stake concentrates, the fewer doors need knocking on.
Proof-of-work doesn’t have a front door to knock on.
Your transactions go through because miners compete to include them. Nobody needs to approve them.
So why isn’t everyone talking about this?
Because markets price narratives first and fundamentals later. Right now the loudest narratives have the biggest marketing budgets.
Fundamentals don’t need a budget. They just need time.
When it matters who can censor you, who can freeze you, and who can change the rules on you, people go looking for the chain where the answer is “no one.”
Proof-of-work + fixed supply + native smart contracts.

Most chains compete on speed.
Some compete on fees.
A few compete on features.
#EthereumClassic competes on one thing:
It can't stop. Won't stop.
No pauses. No rollbacks. No off switch.

I wrote this guide for someone like me, a non-programmer, who still wants to contribute to the #EthereumClassic network.
It’s as simple as I could make it, basically: what you need, how to build core-geth from source, and how to talk to your node once it’s built.

#Bitcoin proved proof-of-work money works.
#Ethereum made it programmable.
#Zcash keeps pushing proof-of-work forward on privacy and payment speed.
#EthereumClassic added zk-proof verification in 2019, and is still learning from all three.
That’s proof-of-work symbiosis.

Replying to @mark_greaat @ETCGrantsDao
Ethereum Classic’s commitment to immutability remains a defining moment in crypto history. Code, consensus, and decentralization still matter. Respect to the $ETC community for keeping the vision alive.

Running your own node is the difference between believing the chain and knowing it.
No third party. No API key. No one in between.
It’s the most underrated thing anyone in this community can do.

An Ethereum Classic community meetup is taking place in Mumbai on November 2nd, after the Ethereum Cypherpunk Congress.
Hosted by @classix_dev, it’s an informal gathering, free and open to all.

#Bitcoin is a pocket calculator.
It does one thing, and it does it brilliantly.
#EthereumClassic is a computer.
Same proof-of-work security. But you can build on it.
Both matter. Only one runs apps.

Ethereum aims for “centuries-long cryptographic security, via hash-based schemes.” For its consensus, that means new keys for every validator.
Ethereum Classic’s proof-of-work already rests on hashes. Its consensus needs no migration.
Same EVM. Same Solidity. Same tooling. Same contracts.

they are faux-blockchains. better off using azure or aws.
