Clean Fuels welcomes EPA’s proposal to reallocate 2025 small refinery exemptions, helping protect the historic Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) volumes finalized earlier this year. We appreciate @EPA Administrator, @epaleezeldin's effort to keep the #RFS volumes on track and to release this proposal earlier than promised. The proposal is an important step toward preserving the market certainty that drives investment in American agriculture, expands domestic #biodiesel and #renewablediesel production, creates #jobs and helps provide lower-cost diesel fuel options. We urge EPA to finalize supplemental volumes for both 2026 and 2027 to maintain momentum and ensure the benefits of a strong RFS reach farmers, producers and consumers. “American farmers produce the highest-quality crops in the world, and they deserve strong domestic processing capacity and reliable markets for what they grow. The CHS project joins a growing list of investments that helps demonstrate this Administration’s strong support for biofuels.” That’s the message delivered by USDA Deputy Secretary Stephen Vaden @DepSecVaden at yesterday’s groundbreaking for @CHS Inc .’s new soybean processing facility in Evansville, Wisconsin. A message that resonates strongly with Clean Fuels. Congratulations to Clean Fuels Member CHS on this major investment in American agriculture and domestic renewable fuels. The approximately $700 million facility is expected to process 80 million bushels of #soybeans annually, 60% more bushels than were grown in Wisconsin last year - producing roughly 1 billion pounds of soybean oil and 2 million tons of soybean meal. For renewable fuels, that means more domestically produced soybean oil available to meet growing demand for #biodiesel and #renewablediesel, while expanding markets for farmers, strengthening domestic supply chains and supporting rural economic growth. American agriculture and clean fuels belong in the conversation about our energy and climate future. At Climate Week NYC, Veronica Bradley, Director of Environmental Science, brought that perspective to discussions on #45Z, @USDA's low-carbon feedstock provisions, #ILUC, carbon accounting and the sustainability of crop-based fuels. Her message: Science-based policies should recognize the important role #farmers and #cleanfuels can play in reducing emissions and strengthening America’s energy future. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of the conversation, challenge assumptions and build a cleaner future together. #bettercleanernow #biodiesel #renewablediesel #saf #sustainability #ClimateWeekNYC
