Stella is written like a supervillain because they desperately want you to hate her guts and not sympathize with her in any capacity whatsoever since they need her to be the bad guy who gets in the way of the main relationship goal.

I just think it’d be far more interesting if they treated stella like how she actually is; A woman who was forced into a role she never wanted with a man who she never loved, all for the sake of the societal standards placed upon her. Of course she’d be bitter all the time.
