We identify FKBP5 as a key regulator of myeloid-driven neuroinflammation in #MS 🔬 Elevated in CSF monocytes & microglia from MS 🧬 Inhibition boosts myelin clearance & reduces IFNγ signaling 🐭 SAFit2 improves EAE outcomes #JournalofNeuroinflammation rdcu.be/e3zGN

NEDA-3 at year 1 doesn't always mean stable🧵 New from @cemcat_em in @GreenJournal: 329 RMS patients starting a DMT, with serum NfL z-scores measured at baseline and at 12 months. If the zNfL did NOT drop during year 1, the odds of disease activity in year 2 were:
🔹 3x higher overall, independent of Y1 relapses and MRI
🔹 4.5x higher in NEDA-3 patients
🔹 14x higher in treatment-naïve patients In practice:
1️⃣ Measure sNfL at DMT start and at 12 months
2️⃣ Use z-scores, not raw values
3️⃣ No drop despite NEDA-3? Follow that patient more closely! It's a complement to the exam and MRI, not a replacement! Proud to be part of this work 👏

1/13 The human body runs on one genome—but every cell reads it differently. How? To find out, we need to know both gene expression and chromatin accessibility in the same nucleus. So we did, across 21 adult tissues and nearly half a million nuclei. 🧵 🔗 biorxiv.org/content/10.64898…
