🌈🐾In Loving Memory of Retired Prison Dog Zara🐾🌈 We are very sad to share the news that much-loved Retired Prison Dog Zara has crossed the rainbow bridge. Zara, a beautiful German Shepherd (GSD) served as a general purpose prison dog with @hmpps at HMP Whitemoor. She was dedicated to her role as a patrol dog but to her family she was more than a just working dog. To them, she was a gentle soul with a mischievous streak, always watching over those she loved and never missing an opportunity to investigate the possibility of food. She loved long walks, games of tug, sunny afternoons in the garden and adventures by the sea. Whether she was keeping a watchful eye on the house, claiming victory in a game, or perfecting her look of disapproval when a biscuit wasn’t shared, Zara brought joy every day. Her family have spoken movingly of the love, comfort and companionship she gave throughout her life, and of the precious memories they shared together. To Nick and Sally, thank you for allowing us to share Zara’s story. Our thoughts are with you as you navigate this heartbreaking loss. Zara may have hung up her harness as a service dog and a family friend, but the love she leaves behind will remain forever. Rest now💜🐾
