Have you ever heard of Dr Peter Hutchinson, the former Vice-Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge?
He was accused of sexually harassing 10 students. Despite the allegations, he was allowed to remain in his position under certain restrictions. After breaching those restrictions, he was removed from his role, only to be reappointed two years later. He eventually resigned.
And that’s not it. He also published an erotic fiction book featuring stories about students.

Things rarely surprise us in football these days but this has. A very uncomfortable appointment to say the least. It's been just two years since Kirk was sacked by Leicester for a relationship with a player that breached "the team's code of conduct to a degree that [made] his position untenable".

Just as we are going through the highly disturbing and tragic inquest of Maddy Cusack and the failures of safeguarding players in the game, Durham go ahead and bring in a man with a proven record of inappropriate sexual behaviour around the female players. Oh my. 😶

🚨JUST IN: Rooney says I FIFA withdrawing Iran World Cup ticket allocation for their supporters for all the 3 matches and denying Omar Abdulkadir Artan a chance to ref in the World Cup because of USA have shifted the narrative from football to politics which is unacceptable
> "What frustrates me is that the World Cup is supposed to be about football, but days before kickoff we're talking more about politics than the actual tournament."
> "The story should be about the best players in the world arriving, the biggest nations competing, and fans travelling across the globe to support their countries."
> "Instead, one of the biggest headlines has been the situation involving Omar Abdulkadir Artan. Here's a referee selected by FIFA to officiate at the World Cup, yet he won't be there after being denied entry into the United States."
> "Put yourself in his shoes. You spend years working for that opportunity, you become one of Africa's most respected referees, and then your World Cup dream ends before a ball is kicked."
> "Then you have Iran's federation claiming that its allocation of tickets for supporters across all three group-stage matches has been withdrawn. Whether you're Iranian or not, that's a terrible look for a World Cup."
> "Football supporters save money for years to follow their national teams. Some book flights, hotels and time off work. They deserve clarity and fairness."
> "The problem is that these stories have shifted the entire narrative. People are debating visas, travel restrictions and diplomatic disputes instead of discussing formations, tactics and who might win the trophy."
> "Every host nation has laws and security procedures, I understand that. But when those issues become bigger than the football itself, something has clearly gone wrong."
> "The World Cup has always been special because it brings together countries that don't agree on everything but can still share the same pitch and the same tournament."
> "Right now, FIFA needs the football to take centre stage again. The World Cup should be remembered for great matches and unforgettable moments, not for controversies that made politics the biggest story before the tournament even began."

It’s crazy that Qatar got more boycotting for its world cup than a country literally built on the backs of the worst kind of slavery and the country that just funded and covered the biggest genocide of the 21st century.
Qatar said it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, you can come to the World Cup, just don’t drink alcohol at the stadium.
USA said you can’t come. Who you are or where you come from matters. We’ll decide who can and can’t participate. This isn’t a sport for everyone.

Norway said that they are not going to play in World Cup in Qatar even if they qualified (they didn’t). Denmark left it until the last minute to confirm their participation in the World Cup 2022Germany forced their players to make political statements before the match in FIFA WC 2022 even though some players didn’t want to do it.
BBC literally disrupted the coverage of one of the best opening ceremonies of the World Cup in Qatar just for virtue signaling.
but for World Cup 2026, the whole media is silent other than a few token articles here and there and Norway and Germany aren’t protesting anything when there’s so much to protest about 🤡

Don't comment on what you don't understand. Educate yourself about racism first, one of many topics you are highly ignorant about. Either that, or you just don't care about black players and what they go through because of images like this that bait racism, which is more likely.

This is no different to when games are paused in really hot weather to allow players to get a water break. Oh, no, actually, it is different: it's different because it gives racist scumbags a chance to be racist scumbags.

Agree with Eni Aluko or not, but if your response involves racism, misogyny, or mocking her appearance, you’ve already lost the debate. The moment you resort to abuse, your argument becomes moot.

Eni Aluko can’t shout racism, because Ian Wright and other black pundits get heaps of work and are well loved. She can’t shout sexism because Laura Woods and other female pundits get heaps of work and are well loved.
At some point, she just has to accept that she tried a new career, but she’s not very good at it, and she’s very unlikeable.
She should have acknowledged this with dignity and thanked people for the opportunity, instead of whatever this car crash PR run is.
Love to the people of Liverpool.
Hope you’re all safe ❤️ #YNWA

Two biological men just competed in the Ultimate Pool Series “𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨” Final.
So, to everyone that said "this never happens":
It’s happening right now. There are 𝙣𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 in the final of an international women's tournament.
Let that sink in.
No women.
None.
Ppl need to do their homework before they talk to me about women game & not focus on making SA females the victim for the lack of SA players in the women game / lioness squad. The pathway is very different & difficult for anyone. SA media must to better changing their narrative!
Thoroughly proud of you @Shevs_20 you move kept your head down, worked hard both on & off the pitch and now it’s time to enjoy the success of your hard labour. Proper proud of you pal, one of the genuine real honest women in the game 💙🤍 x
We're delighted to confirm Siobhan Hodgetts-Still has been appointed the club’s first full-time Women’s Manager. 🫡
Congratulations, @Shevs_20!
