When Houston Northbrook head coach Demond Stafford was hired in 2024, the Ragin’ Raiders had lost 49 of their last 51 games.
This season, Northbrook won its first district game in nine years, won four more, and is now in the playoffs for the first time in its 52-year history.

Honestly Crazy to me, love my job and my wife will tell you I put in way more hours at the house than I should, but I've come to learn that family is way more important.
If I dropped dead today. I'd get a social media post and my initials on a sticker on the helmet but everything will still move on, but my kids and wife will grieve for years to come.
Keys to being a good coach aren't hard:
1. Follow and trust in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
2. Love your family, and cherish every moment with them.
3. Pour everything you have into building young men to be better fathers and Husbands using the greatest game on the planet.

One of the biggest practice traps:
You leave the gym feeling like you coached your butt off...
Then you realize most of your coaching went to your worst players.
This is a lesson I learned from watching a Duke practice years ago — and why you can't let your worst players steal practice

The Texans defense could become legendary. How they’ll do it is their real magic

Coach your backups like they're going to play, because at some point they will. The programs that stay steady through injuries rep the twos like they matter.
Give them real reps, same standard. Depth isn't luck, you build it every week.

A high school DC once told me “I don’t have to outsmart the OC, eventually he will outsmart himself”
Biggest mistake HS Offensive Coordinators make is not being consistent with what’s actually working
Most the time I’m watching and these DCs aren’t actually adjusting to what’s going on
OCs keep throwing that jab until the fights over and iterate off the same concept.
Winning = doing what works, simple.
