Go Braves! I got a glimpse of the World Series trophy today... and the day off. :)
After setting up my outdoor teaching space this morning, I spent 10 minutes watching nature show out.

We have been modeling and practicing being empathetic, good stewards, respectful, and safe in PE for weeks now and the kids nail it on the first day of stations. We are going to be alright. Plus, today most all of my kindergarten kids can jump the long rope. Today was a win!
1st day of 2021/2022, SEL and Physical Education go hand in hand. The origins of the Paralympics is a perfect example of this connection. youtube.com/watch?v=-RiK5Yly…

Field Day Plan - At my school Specials is 100% virtual and students who attend in person only come for 1/2 days. About 60-80 are in person and 20 - 30 are virtual per grade level. Hope it helps anyone else trying to come up with something. drive.google.com/file/d/1d41…. .
Olympic Day during a pandemic. Keep in mind our students only come to school in person for 1/2 the day. Specials are still virtual. About 80 or our 350 students are 100% virtual. #espechat, #PhysEd docs.google.com/document/d/e…
Currently field day is still not allowed. I have been brainstorming a way for in person and virtual kids to have a FUN day. I think I am on to something! I have 8 activities so far. #PhysEd I am K-2 and I want them to all get a fun bag for the day.

There are highs and lows of virtual PE. Today was a high. Ending with a S exclaiming, "I LOVE PE!" and another losing a tooth in the middle of the workout and all the kids unmuting and cheering for her. The priceless part was when I could hear her say,.....

"Mom, I just lost my tooth in PE and Coach Beauchamp said that was a first ever in PE and everyone cheered for me." She was grinning from ear to ear!
I am ready. I am steady. I am clear. I persevere. I have been using this in PE for the past few years. Last night I was about to run up a dreaded hill. It always feels hard. Before I started the hill I repeated the phrases above a few times.

Moments later I realized I was at the top and did not notice the discomfort that normally consumes my mind. What a great reminder to be mindful of the story I am manifesting. Picture of a tree next to the hill taken during my walk today.
We are doing a, "Run from where you are fun run" in a few weeks. I hope the kids are as excited as we are! vimeo.com/519571193
Need a hook for a lesson about finding your passion in sports? I used this in my Winter Olympics virtual class and they LOVED it. I let them chat and the comments were priceless. I miss hearing their excitement. youtube.com/watch?v=bdn1-vO_… Find your passion kids!

Do any other PE teachers Zwift? (It is a virtual bicycle riding game that I ride in personally for exercise.) The reason I ask is because it would be great to do a group ride together and chat to share ideas.
