Our beautiful family friend, Amy McKay, needs our support now more than ever.
On December 26, 2024, Amy was diagnosed with rare appendiceal cancer. Just weeks later, on January 24, she endured a grueling 14-hour CRS/HIPEC surgery. Despite an intense recovery, subsequent scans showed that cancer remained.
But Amy is a fighter, and a new door has opened. A leading specialist in Pittsburgh believes the remaining cancer can be successfully removed. She is scheduled for her next major surgery on October 29.
The Reality of the Fight:
Amy and Jason face three weeks away from home. The financial toll of travel, lodging, meals, mounting medical costs, and time away from work adds up incredibly fast.

Me? I think it’s safe to say I was always determined to and I definitely continue to chase my dreams, when I was younger growing up in Mass, I remember intentionally working to reject cynicism (why would anyone want to cut me down at the knees was the rationale in my heart) but life experiences made that effort more and more challenging, and even to this day, I am still not defeated, and I am forever thankful I continue to stay true to myself. The destination was my dream, almost there. No quit.
