Mike will crush it at MSU in a positive way!!
Quick bullets on new Michigan State deputy AD and CEO of Spartan Ventures Mike Polisky:
- Comes from Intersport (big sports marketing firm)
- Overlapped w/ Fitzgerald for 11 years at NW
- Grew pickleball for 4 years as Pres. of PPA
- President/GM of an Arena Football team
- President of an AHL hockey team
- Developed Cubs x Northwestern partnership
TLDR: He’s done it all. Marketing, strategic & innovative partnerships and, of course, being a fundraising rainmaker are the qualifications.

1984 Changed my life! Love seeing Dallas and Billy Connors again ❤️ Ryno used to tease me that my shutout went unnoticed cause the Day before was the SANDBERG DAY 👊
It was #OTD in 1984 that Rick Sutcliffe was the unanimously winner of the Cy Young Award. Sut also finished 4th in MVP voting. The Red Baron started the season with Cleveland, starting out with an ERA of 5.15 through 15 starts before being traded to the #Cubs on June 13th. With the Cubs, @Sut_40 had a record of 16-1 with a 2.69 ERA in 20 starts and led the Cubs to win the NL East Division

None Ever Better 👊. A great teammate and a person I will always admire ❤️. Congrats Hawk
Today, I was proud to present the Governor’s Medal of Freedom to Baseball Hall of Famer and great Floridian Andre Dawson. His distinguished career in Major League Baseball, his contributions to the sport, and his lasting impact on our state have earned him this award.
From his childhood in Southwest Miami, to his college days at FAMU, to his legendary MLB career, “The Hawk” has represented Florida in the best possible way for decades. His generous support of FAMU and its baseball program has helped generations of student-athletes succeed. The Governor’s Medal of Freedom is the highest honor I can bestow on any Floridian, and Andre Dawson truly deserves this recognition.
This is real life Chicago Basketball. Awesome job to produce Hoop Dreams.

You all downgrade him because he was a three star and he wears purple.
That’s all coming to an end now.

Ditka= A pro’s PRO!!!
Jim Nantz says Mike Ditka used to pay and tip for everything with $100 bills, and never ask for change
“I noticed early on that all he carried were $100 bills. All he did was peel off hundreds all the time. Buy a beer at the bar on the way out to dinner, ‘Yeah, give me a Budweiser.’ $100. Keep the change.”
“Coat check, comes into a restaurant, comes out, $100. Man on the street, homeless, there was one guy that kind of understood the routine and he was there every week. Mike, every time, $100 bill.”
“I finally got up the nerve to say, ‘Hey coach, why don’t you ever get change? Why just the hundreds?’ He says, ‘Hey, what’s the difference anyway?’”
“He said, ‘You know, the way I look at it, when I die and they drop me down into the ground, I hope there’s a little opening in that coffin and my last $100 bill comes flying out and goes up into the sky and drifts away. That would make me happy.’”
“So I said, ‘This gets a little pricey, doesn’t it?’ ‘It’s not that bad, Jim.’ He said, ‘Here’s the way I rationalize it in my head. We got 20 weeks. I come every single Friday to New York. I come in with 50 $100 bills, $5,000. And at the end of the season, I’m spending $100,000.’”
“He would say, ‘I’ve allocated $100,000 to the football season to go enjoy myself in New York. And that’s the way it is.’ I take $5,000 in cash in hundreds every single week. And that’s what he did.”

Aidan Chiles deserves so much more attention for the year he’s having at Northwestern.
1,172 passing yards, 9 TDs, ZERO interceptions and a 71.4% completion rate.
He’s completely transformed his game under Chip Kelly, and Northwestern is sitting at 4-1.
One of the best stories in college football. 🔥🏈
