Michigan State journalism student Elliott Hammon still has the video Tom Izzo sent him before his brain tumor surgery four and a half years ago. Hammon brought it up during Izzoā€™s press conference and asked how it impacts him knowing he means so much to people. Izzoā€™s full response: ā€œItā€™s better than winning.ā€ ā€œWhat people think of you, how you can inspire people. I mean, thatā€™s why Iā€™m here. Some people jump around and go to different jobs.
