Thankful for Coach @KevinKuwik and his staff for welcoming me and my family with open arms. Excited for the opportunity to work with such people of integrity and character at such a prestigious institution. #WestPoint #Army #GoArmybeatnavy #Thankful #Grateful
Sad to see one of the games great coaches hang em up. Salute 🫡 to Coach Altman. He is a special Coach and a Hall of Famer. Always kind and genuine. You can see it here.

Top 24. Shooting drill. October 4th, 2026.
The number that sat on this drill belonged to August Mahoney. City Rocks. Albany Academy. Yale. They called him Sweatpants Money. Knockdown shooter. Hall of Fame shooter. In his first look at this drill, Mahoney went 22 for 28.
First appearance. Angelo O’Connor. Class of 2030.
Coaches have been loud about this kid. Shot. Work. Attitude. The kind of reviews you do not hand a player this young unless the gym already knows.
He steps in. Same drill. Same standard.
Twenty-four for twenty-eight.
He did not tie the mark. He took it. On his first time through.
City Rocks bloodline. Mahoney set the floor. O’Connor just raised it. Class of 2030. NBA talk is early. The makes are not.

Such heart breaking news today to hear of Chris Spatola’s passing. May God bless his family and loved ones. We competed against each other in the Empire State games in Binghamton in 2000. 22 years later he was calling our game vs Florida St. Such a love for life and the game we both cherished. Life is so so precious. 🙏 #EternalRest #HeavenlyRest #RestInHonor
Reese enjoyed her first @WNBA game @IndianaFever . She arrived almost 4 hours before tip to have @CaitlinClark22 sign her jersey. Fast forward to dinner after the game, and Reese was practicing her autograph ✍🏻 on her napkin for when she makes it 🏀❤️. Never be afraid to dream BIG‼️ #Thankful #GirlDad #Dream #Love
Had the chance to speak w @PlatekFor3 @ShenHoops squad last week. Happy to be able to give back. Talked about the importance of what it means to wear the jersey and the responsibility we all have to lead ourselves to bring the program forward daily. #Thankful

Curt Cignetti 🤝 DeSean Jackson
DeSean Jackson rejects football’s the live in the office coaching culture
“I spent 15 years playing in the league. The last thing I want to do is go have a long schedule, 8 in the morning till 10 at night, because we know the coaches we played for, they was in there all day.”
“I be in there probably like 6:30 in the morning, and I honestly be out by like two. But I tell my coaches, ‘Just because you there all day don’t mean nothing.’ You can still get out-schemed. You can still get out-worked.”
“So I’m not one of those coaches that be like, ‘We got to be there 8 in the morning, 6 in the morning and 10 at night.’ Get in. Get your work done. When you done, man, you get up out of there. I feel like you can get your work done and get home to your family, because I’m not going to be in there all day.”
“After a while, you just running up into a brick wall. You going to be miserable, frustrated, cussing out players, cussing out coaches. Nah, bro. I got to go reset.”

The strangest thing about having a kid is that you suddenly have a physical extension of yourself out there in the world. When they feel joy, you feel joy. When they feel pain, you feel pain. But unlike with yourself, you aren’t really in control of what they experience. And if you try to be, it probably won’t work out all that well. So it really is the ultimate test of faith. Just letting go and trusting that you’ve prepared them for whatever they’ll face. Or that they’ll learn to adapt to it. Terrifying in a lot of ways. But enormously gratifying, too. Nobody really teaches you how to navigate it. And there’s nothing else like it in your life.

Bijan Robinson says NIL money can make young players think they no longer have to work or listen
“At Texas, they were always telling me, ‘Yo B, go out, bro. Have fun.’ Obviously, as college kids, we did a little bit of fun, but with me, I was so locked in.”
“They were always like, ‘Why don’t you come out?’ But then on the flip side they’re always like, ‘Damn B, I want to be where you’re at.’ I’m like, ‘You’ve got to make a choice.’ It’s always good to have fun. You have to have fun in college and experience it.”
“But at the same time, you have to be so focused and locked in and understand, especially in my position, I was trying to do big things and make it as high as I possibly could. As much as I love it for kids, they’re starting to get paid all this money and then their mentality becomes so shot.”
“They’re like, ‘I have money. I can do this. I don’t have to work as hard.’ I saw a video on TikTok the other day, and it was this college kid yelling at his coach in camp. He was like, ‘Bro, I don’t have to listen to you. I got all this money. I don’t got to listen.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s a different world. What?’ I would’ve got ripped. I would’ve got kicked off the team.”
“For me to explain that to kids now, I’m like, ‘Bro, you have to go to college for relationships and the relationship with the coaches.’ It’s cool to get money. You will get money if you perform the right way.”
