In 2003, one of our sport's most resilient fighters, Chris Wakely '90, was diagnosed with MS.
Today, the “Wakely Flyers,” made up primarily of UVA alums, have raised more than $600,000 for a cure and to support Chris and his family.

Chris Wakely, who was diagnosed with MS in 2003, has strong ties to both @UVAMensLax and @LehighMLax, and those programs are joining forces this weekend to honor him. “He's a warrior, he's a champion, and he's as tough as they come,” @CoachCassese says.

.@UVAMensLax lands a third 5 ⭐️ from @Wick_Lax: @Prep_Lacrosse’s No. 16 junior Sawyer Bligh, a two-way middie from NorCal who plays attack for @WestCoastStarz. An athletic, hard-nosed playmaker with a high motor, he’s at his best when contributing on both ends and in transition.

.@UVAMensLax picks up another 5 ⭐️ @Wick_Lax attackman in @Prep_Lacrosse's No. 11 junior Austin Tuttle, a Colorado transplant who plays for @WestCoastStarz and @2WayLacrosse. Remarkably efficient and the top pure goal-scorer in the '28 class, Tuttle led Brunswick with 56 points.
