Absolutely the issue! Looking to sidelines right before ball snapped entire game or looking at each other like, " what are we in"? Can't play fast thinking!
Think the biggest issue with the defense currently is we get the call in late, which in turn does not allow our players enough time to process the formation, communicate, read pre-snap indicators, etc. Instead of thinking about making a play and playing fast, you are left in fight-or-flight mode thinking about your assignment as the ball is snapped.

Preach @keyshawn. That hate will continue bro as you know!
Stop worrying about USC! The fans will show up when we need them. It’s LA, not Lubbock, Texas. We got stuff to do. 👀✌🏾

Mark Bowman seems to be unguardable out here … Ashcraft looks like he could be apart of the Rams 13 personnel package if he wanted to! The WR room is loaded with young talent. Both RBs return and are healthy. King Miller looks much more stout. Just an embarrassment of riches on offense and they’re mixing physicality with finesse. Practice just feels different. This is easily the best staff Lincoln Riley has had in his time at USC and the strength coach has worked wonders in a very short time. Night and day difference in just physical appearance alone
