Does anyone in the open division want to be in it?

Everybody wants a coach who holds kids accountable. The real test is whether you still want that coach when it’s your kid.

2028 Shonn Collins Just one of his many highlights. Best 28 receiver in the panhandle and it’s not close. Holds Division 1 basketball and Football offers. @CoachT_HarrisJR can’t let him get away from home.

It’s crazy college sports even come to this. Have to have enough money to compete. Not the best coaching, facilities, location etc… the most money. I doubt any college football coach will ever coach 15-20 years at the same school again.
Excellent reporting by @aadelsonESPN on the fall of Florida State. Interesting debate in this deep dive: Did FSU not have enough money to win, or was the money spent unwisely? "It's hard to go into a gunfight when you're walking in with a butter knife." espn.com/college-football/st…

Why do we have 50 players out
Florida State running back Tre Wisner is questionable for Saturday’s game at Boston College. Defensive lineman Deante McCray is out. 247sports.com/college/florid…

So, I love the Jimbo Fisher was a failure at Texas A&M lines and arguments being thrown out there. Let's debunk some of this crap and separate fact from fans emotions. 1. Texas A&M was in the SEC West during his time there, and played one of the hardest schedules in America. So, you really think any coach other than Saban at Alabama was going to go undefeated every year in the SEC or nearly that? You're comparing an icon against some of the best. Jimbo Fisher is a damn great coach, but he was never going to be Nick Saban. It's an unfair comparison and anyone who thought that it was going to be a same record was not in reality. 2. Yes they have oil booster money. Had it before Jimbo got there and now after he's gone and Elko is finding out that the SEC is a murderer's row schedule. Elko came from Duke where they played in the ACC. Now, he's in the SEC and finding out there are no "off weeks" or gimme games. The SEC is a brutal grind. Plenty of coaches at A&M have had oil booster money, all of them were engulfed in the Big 12/SEC. Jimbo had to play Alabama every year and the rest of the SEC West. He was never going to have the same record when he played the ACC while at FSU. So, A&M is finding out that Elko is facing the same issue going from ACC to the SEC. Two different leagues. If you think that they are the same, look at Elko struggling now big time in the SEC. He did well at Duke for a reason, it's called SCHEDULE. 3. Bad luck. Had some of his star QB's not gone down three years straight it's a different conversation. Winning in the SEC is hard. Winning without QB1 is harder. 4. Jimbo left FSU to chase money. That is complete crap, he left FSU because the administration made it clear in 2014 they wanted him gone. Stan Wilcox, John Thrasher and Andy Miller made it more than abundantly clear they wanted him gone and in fact, they pulled that Jameis full game suspension crap in 2014 with intention of driving Fisher out. A year after a national championship, yet mainly Wilcox with own agenda wanted him gone. So, if you work for an employer and they basically want you gone; would you leave for more money? Damn right you would, if you say different you're lying to yourself. Many have sour feelings over 2017. Get over yourselves, things happened in the past and the administration has changed since he left then. Time changes, administrations change. This is strictly business. Jimbo Fisher must be the next head coach at Florida State. He requires NO BUYOUT from any school. He was won before at high clips, he will win again. He can recruit, develop, and coach. He's already proven his resume, go look at the national championship banners at Doak. He had one, Bobby had two. He wants to come back. He is willing to hire an elite staff and take an incentive laden contract. I stand on business. Jimbo Fisher should be the next head coach at Florida State. GO NOLES.

I’m Hotty Toddy for life if this happens buddy
NEW: Brian Kelly confirms interest in Florida State's head coaching job: "I’ve got a great history with Florida State, great games. I know what that’s like, the history and tradition of Florida State, playing in that state, and the fan base. So anytime you have an incredibly brand driven, great tradition and history, there’s a want and desire to be part of somebody that has had that success and, certainly, leading that program, from anyone’s perspective, would be an honor and privilege." Another reason to not pay players. These coaches are dependent on 18-22 year old AMATEURS who absolutely are not professionals but are paid like they are. NIL is fine, but not pay for play. These players should get their full scholarship + a $2500 a month stipend!
