In these highlights I see a lot of mid ranges being shot and I don’t hear anyone complaining about it. I get the need to shoot 3’s way the game is played.
But if it’s available I don’t understand what the big deal is especially if it’s the right read🤷🏾♂️. Over time he will shot more 3’s.
I always tell my guys to take what’s in front of you and make the right read always.

Kevin Garnett tells Tony Allen and Zach Randolph that a single open run he had with a group of NBA players including Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen made him realize he wasn't going to college and would instead enter the NBA straight from high school. He noted that making just one bucket during that run changed everything for him.

Coaches are indirectly killing kids dreams. What are middle schoolers playing damn near every weekend? Why are HS aged AAU teams playing right now??? Parents, do u not get it? Seriously, u don’t see how this is a detriment??? How can we help u understand?

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement, Coach…. Balance is important and I know it is very one sided. Players are excepted to be at everything…
Some of you coaches are REAL quick to scream, “We have a life too!” when an expectation conflicts with something you have going on outside of your sport.
But then turn around and discipline a kid for missing a practice, workout, or team function because…they have a life too.
I’ve seen kids punished because they had to work. Because they had a family function. Because something important came up at home. I’ve even seen it happen when a PARENT made the decision that their child wasn’t going to attend.
We ask kids to understand that coaches have families, jobs, responsibilities, emergencies, and lives outside of athletics.
That understanding has to go both ways.
Accountability matters. Commitment matters. Being dependable matters.
But so does perspective.
And before everybody starts whining and crying like children…I said SOME coaches.

Why tf are AAU teams having tournaments for high school kids in the fall??? We have a lot of idiots in basketball. Parents, stay away from foolishness. It’s high school time.
