I am old school.. but can we please have a dress code for High School coaches? Is it too much to look the part? Hats, jeans, socks tucked in to your sweats, sun glasses on in the gym, muscle shirts.. all not looking like a head coach!! Coaches set the tone.. please look like one!

Be Case Keenum. > Grow up in West Texas. Two-star recruit. One scholarship offer. > Take it. Rewrite the NCAA record book at Houston. > Marry your high school sweetheart, the girl you took out for snow cones before any of this started. > Go undrafted anyway. > Spend your rookie season on the practice squad. > Get cut. Get claimed. Get traded. Start over. > Get your chance in Minnesota when the starter gets hurt. > Throw the Minneapolis Miracle. > Help take the Vikings within one win of the Super Bowl. > Keep moving after that, too. > Eight franchises. Different jerseys. Different playbooks. Another chance to prove you belong. > Through all those moves, keep building a life with the girl. > The girl from the snow-cone date becomes the mother of your two children. > Spend years preparing for opportunities that rarely come. > Go 1,009 days without a start. > Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Stay ready. > Then, at 38, get the call. Chicago needs you. > Walk onto Monday Night Football. > Throw two touchdowns. Run for another. Beat the Eagles 27–7. > Do it with both your kids watching you play in person for the first time. > Finish the night on SportsCenter with your little girl beside you. All those years. All those moves. All those Sundays waiting for a chance. And when this one finally comes, you fucking crush it with your kids looking on. Imagine what that feels like. There are a lot of ways to teach your children to keep going. Letting them watch you do it has to be one of the best. Absolute legend! 🫡
"It was so much fun. I'm going to remember this night forever. This is incredible." QB Case Keenum speaks with @notthefakeSVP after getting the start in the Bears' 27-7 win vs. the Eagles 🏈

"There's no right way. There's no wrong way. There's OUR way." - Dante Scarnecchia The best coaches preach "OUR way" (not "MY way") of problem solving. If a perfect play existed, everyone would run it. Each play presents problems. Give athletes the tools to solve problems.

It’s Fall Officials Appreciation Week, and as a coach. I have to thank all of the people who show up and do their jobs to ensure we can have games played. It’s not easy, and I know that sometimes us as coaches can make things challenging. But the time, energy, and effort the officials pour into our student athletes to ensure we can have games played and keep things rolling is something that deserves recognition and love. So thank you to all the @AZPreps365 officials who show up every day of the week and show up from far and wide to work hard so my student athletes and all student athletes have a chance to play the sports they love!

HOT TAKE: Some adults need to stop talking kids out of Division III football. “D3 doesn’t give athletic scholarships.” “You’re going to go into debt.” “Why would you play there if you can go D2?” “You won’t get NIL” Okay. Now tell me the FINAL cost of attendance. Tell me the academic aid package. Tell me the grants. Tell me the major. Tell me the graduation rate. Tell me what that degree can do for him. Tell me what the D2 school actually costs AFTER the athletic scholarship. Because a $15,000 athletic scholarship at one school can still leave a family paying more than a D3 school offering $0 in athletic money. D3 isn’t automatically the right choice. But neither is D1 or D2. You dismissing an opportunity because of the division beside the school’s name is lazy recruiting advice. Evaluate the opportunity and get an understanding of the whole picture

Always great to get a win but this one was a little extra special. Friday was a decade since I lost my grandmother so this one meant a lot. Super proud of this group and the growth we’ve made! Grateful for this program. #hawkyeah

Boys Of Fall would not have been the same without my good friend @SeanPayton. This is Sean giving a pregame speech in Naperville, Illinois where he played High School football. This speech wasn’t scripted. He spoke from heart. Sean is a great football coach but he is a great communicator and motivator. This speech still gives me chills. Sean I am forever grateful. It’s football season everyone. KC
