I’m extremely blessed and grateful to announce that I have been named the Head Coach at Camelback High School. Excited to get to work with these young men. #ShieldUp

AZHSFB officiating has been awful and inconsistent this season. I’ve always taught my players to stay disciplined and not worry about officials, but this year has been frustrating. I’ve contacted AIA multiple times with no response. Coaches are held accountable and expected to improve. Why not officials?

I’m seeing a lot of HS football coaches having issues with parents. I don’t understand it because you lay out the program parents and players. This way everyone is clear about expectations and what happens when players don’t meet or exceed them. #football

The Hudl access part is crazy. I dealt with this recently. I explained to parent that it’s just like a job. If you quit your job, you lose access to your employer’s resources. Plus, certain programs have playbooks and other team information on Hudl, so it makes no sense to allow someone who is no longer part of the program to keep access to that information.

Just saw the Channel 12 interview around DRHS dismissal. Why has the incident on film, that coach said was there and he would send, not been sent to her? Wouldn’t that show the disrespect that is being alleged and what actually happened? Also, the team took away Hudl access to the players, so they can’t even get their own highlights. 12news.com/article/sports/hi…

Disagree. There may be something on a coach's heart or they may need to address something that we missed. Everyone has a voice. Even the players.

Gentle reminder. #AZHSFB
Shore Sports Insider

A friendly reminder to high school football statisticians: Under NFHS guidelines, a play ending in a tackle should result in one solo tackle or two assisted tackles. Multiple defenders should not be credited with solo tackles on the same play, nor should three, four, five or more defenders routinely receive assisted tackles on a single play. Solo tackles + (assisted tackles ÷ 2) should roughly align with the number of plays ending in potential tackles. (rushing attempts, receptions, kick returns, punt returns). Accurate and consistent stat keeping ensures players receive proper recognition.

I know you East Valley Schools like to beat up on the less fortunate Phoenix Union schools. But let’s look at the bias in scheduling shall we? You have CC who went 2-8 with this brutal schedule.

I think there needs to be hard core punishments for teams that cancel. Canceling a game needs to be the absolute last option for a school. It’s not fair for the other school. Cancel a game, season over, let kids transfer to any program immediately with full eligibility
