On the middle catch in Zone Motion, itās an easy passing read:
1ļøā£ If the forward drops, fan to the wing

Book is Live!
Over the last several months, Iāve had the chance to go back through ten seasons as the head coach at Merrimack and put into words so much of what has shaped our program.
More Than the Zone is not a book just about our zone defense. Itās about everything underneath it as well - the recruiting, development, standards, practice design, staff structure, offense, defense, analytics, preparation, and daily habits that have become the Merrimack Basketball Operating System.
I loved reliving it. I hope coaches, leaders, and anyone interested in building a team or organization can take something from it and make it their own.
More Than the Zone is available now on Amazon.

Loved my time chatting with Coach Hack! Beginning of season tune up - shot selection scale is one of my favorite ways to communicate intent based on situation, time and score, and empower initiative and in game decision making. @CoachHackGO

š§µLots of rambling from me but Utah basically changed their whole P&R Coverage/Protection from last year and it was the perfect setting for Ty Jeromeās explosion in game one
A theme from last night's game was Utah guarding the two-man actions straight up by either switching or playing a deep-drop

A truly UNIQUE approach to attack Diamond š Press:
š Explore the sideline with the dribble immediately
(If you break the sideline, you're into a 3v2 advantage)
š This dribble will cause the x3 to drop
(Why would they rotate to the inbounder if the ball is advancing?)ā¤µļø
