Simpson College (D3) RB Demarico Young has entered the transfer portal.
He led the ARC in rushing with 1,019 yards last season.
Demarco is deaf, and was told he couldn’t use his sign interpreter on campus anymore 🚨

Attn PE Teachers 🚨
Try this -
On the last week of school send 4 kids every 5 minutes to their favorite English or Math teacher and have them say "Can I hang out here, my PE teacher said it was ok since we're not doing anything".
Good times 🤣🤣

Coaches & parents: Stop cutting weights in-season “to save the athletes.”
You’re actually increasing their injury risk.
A 2018 study showed that continuing
strength training in-season is one of the single best ways to reduce injuries

The average high school head football coach stipend is around $7,000. Fluctuating heavily
For that, they’re expected to coach year-round, run a program, mentor kids, manage parents, recruit their own halls, fundraise, break down film, coordinate staffs, and be available almost 24/7.
Football coaches are grossly underpaid for what we ask of them.

🚨 High School Football Recruits and Parents
Not every camp is the RIGHT camp.
One of the biggest mistakes recruits make during the summer is attending camps simply because they are popular, heavily advertised, or loaded with big name programs.
Be strategic.
Do your homework before signing up for any camp.
Ask yourself:
✅ Does this school realistically fit me academically and athletically?
✅ Have the coaches shown real interest?
✅ Will I actually get quality reps?
✅ Is this camp built for evaluation or exposure?
✅ Does this camp fit my position and recruiting goals?
Mega camps can absolutely provide exposure and opportunities, but recruits also need to understand the reality:
➡️ Hundreds of athletes attend
➡️ Reps can be very limited
➡️ Coaches may only see you for a few snaps
➡️ Standing out becomes much harder without preparation
Sometimes a smaller position specific camp or an individual school camp can provide more meaningful coaching, better interaction, and more direct evaluation opportunities.
Remember this:
Exposure without preparation means nothing.
College coaches are evaluating far more than talent:
🏈 Body language
🏈 Effort
🏈 Coachability
🏈 Competitiveness
🏈 Communication
🏈 How you respond to adversity
Be intentional with your summer plan.
The goal is not to attend the MOST camps.
The goal is to attend the RIGHT camps.
Right Camps.
Right Reasons.
Right Opportunity.
Make this summer count

If you’re a young person who’s frustrated by someone (coach, teacher, parent) pushing you or holding you accountable, read this and pause to really think about it.
Coach John Outlaw..I'm thinking about you today and I wanted to tell you thank you. I'll never forget you walking into my house..snatching the cover off me..telling me to get my ass up or I wouldn't be going anywhere…I told him to get out of my house..but I was skipping school. I wasn't used to folks caring for me…but he did. I remember him waiting outside for me to take me to school…I got in..and he said…Son.. I've been coaching for a long time..and you have what it takes to play in the NFL. Don't screw this up. I know I didn't reach my goals without you..Coach. Thank you..and I love you…May God rest your soul 🙏🏿

Banning cell phones in schools might turn out to be the best thing we’ve done for our kids in a generation.
One year into cell phone bans, Dallas schools see 24% increase in library book checkouts.
👏👏👏
"Public school districts in Texas are almost one school year into the first statewide cellphone ban, and a North Texas school district is seeing positive impacts.
Dallas ISD officials said that, district-wide, they have seen a significant increase in library book checkouts, which they largely attribute to students no longer having cellphones with them during the school day.
"I started hearing, 'Oh, I'm so bored. I can't get on my phone after I do my work or during lunchtime,'" Hillcrest High School librarian Nina Canales said. "Once they lock into these stories, they don't seem to care about their phones at all."
From the first day of school to March 31, 2026, the district reported an increase of more than 200,000 additional books checked out compared to the previous year.
A look at the library checkouts for the previous year:
2025-2026 Total Circulation (1st day of school to March 31, 2026) – 1,084,837
2024-2025 Total circulation (1st day of school to March 31, 2025) – 872,430
Total library book checkout increase: 24.35%
At Dallas ISD's Hillcrest High, students are following this trend.
Canales said there were roughly 500 books checked out in the first nine weeks of the 2024-2025 school year. This school year, that number spiked to about 1,800 books.
"That floored me," Canales said. "I had to re-do the report again because I was like, 'What, are you kidding me?'"
Students felt the impact too.
"Now that I'm busy with a bunch of work and college, I don't find myself missing my phone that much, even at home," said Yamilet Jimenez, 9th grader."

Some guy at the gym every morning 6am.
He takes the 45lb plates, all of them.
He loads one bar and he does one rep and sits for 20 minutes.
Then unloads and he leaves, he does this everyday.
We hated him, and nicknamed him the plate dragon.
People started coming in at 5:45 to beat him. He'd just wait smiling and he would take them at 6.
One rep, sit then leaves.
I finally asked him Bro what are you doing?
