High school is the last time in your entire life where you will have the opportunity to be a kid and enjoy it all.
Play all the sports. Any and every one of them you can.
It’s the last time you’ll get the chance AND you’ll be a better athlete for it.
Appreciate UCO stopping by Altus Football this morning. It’s good to talk about our kids and talk a little football too.
Today at Get To Know Your Coach Wednesday:
We had the opportunity to hear from Coach Colby Webb our S-C Coordinator. He told his story to the team. His upbringing and why he coaches and mentors. He and his wife are the gold standard.

You play how you practice.
Tom Brady explains his mental edge and why practice (not gameday) creates separation.
"There was a part of me that was a psychopath out there. I was extremely hypercompetitive every day. I didn't feel like let's get to Sunday and now it's the time...Every day is the time to give your best, even in practice."
Every day your standards are either reinforced or lowered by how you treat practice.
You don’t flip a switch into excellence. You rehearse it daily.

Team Cohesion doesn't happen by chance or accident. Team Cohesion is a DYNAMIC PROCESS that is reflected in the tendency of a group to come together in pursuit of its goal. Know your teammates, know the heart!

It's with great pleasure and excitement to announce @CoachHensonAHS as our new defensive coordinator. John brings great experience as a player and coach in our style of defense. Coach Henson was named 35 under 35 by the OFBCA this winter, a great honor. Congrats Coach!

Proud of these three, they had a great senior year.
Equally as proud of the 2024 team! Tremendous changes made within our locker room and on the field that resulted in better outcomes by all.
