Kenny Dillingham delivers a raw message on excellence and what average really looks like.
"It was a really, really bad day on offense. And it all stems from the passion we play with."
"Is it okay to not make a play? And if you accept it, then you accept it and that's who you're gonna be."
Then he laid out the truth:
"Don't be mad going 5-7. It's okay. Don't be mad going 6-6. Don't be mad going 3-9. 'Cause somebody has to go those records. There's gonna be tons of teams who do it. Why not us?"
If you accept average, you'll become average.
"We didn't practice bad - we didn't practice with passion."
"The best teams - it matters all the time. You wanna win everything. And today we didn't have that mindset."
They look to compete every single day. They win because they have a winning mindset.
"We didn't wanna win. We wanted to practice. And those are 2 different mindsets to me."
Then he dropped the line:
"It was a good practice for a bad team. It was an average practice for an average team. That's what today was."
This is what the mindset of excellence looks like:
"We didn't practice with passion." â Good isn't good enough.
"It matters all the time." â Standards never take a day off.
"It was a good practice for a bad team." â Champions demand more.

Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock.
But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, thatâs roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams.
Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds.
And you donât know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game.
That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him?
That mightâve been it.

The best teams donât rely on stars, they rely on habits & standards. Every player owns their role. Every rep, every play, every ounce of effort adds up. Because when one person locks in, it pushes everyone else higher. The power of one becomes the power of all. Thatâs teamwork!
NEW: Florida's Jon Sumrall refers to Tuesday as "Bloody Tuesday" and his "game day":
"We got a great indoor here. On Tuesdays, we donât use the damn indoor. I donât want anybody going in the indoor on Tuesday. Weâre going to be outside. I hope itâs hot. Tuesdays have to be physical and violent, and you gotta strain, or you donât know how to play way on Saturday."

"Coach, what's the 1st play?"
Well, let's go 21p & shift from 2x2 spread into a slot (fib) pistol formation.
Let's run GT counter slider RPO, might as well add a jet fake and get 4 guys crossing the centerline.
We'll put the inside linebackers eyeballs in a blender & let the RB break the ankles of the nickel.
"But coach, who's gonna block the corner?"
Son, make corners tackle. Put it on a T-shirt.

Cooper Kupp's mindset is a blueprint for the inner game of performance.
âFrom Monday through Saturday, I do everything I can to be the best version of myselfâŚOnce I step on the field, it doesnât matter. The results donât matter. I get to play from victory, not for victory.â
You canât play free until youâve done the work.
Preparation builds confidence. Detachment unlocks freedom.
When you combine the two, you perform from a place of peace, not pressure.
