The 3 Traits of Winning: Preparation. Execution. Adaptability.
Whether you're an athlete, a leader, a salesperson, or an entrepreneur... winning consistently requires three things:
1. PREPARATION: Put in the unseen hours. Master the fundamentals. Build the habits. Do the work before the work. Preparation doesn't guarantee success, but a lack of preparation significantly increases the likelihood of failure.
2. EXECUTION: Preparation means nothing without application. When it's time to perform, you have to deliver. Trust your training. Focus on what you can control. Be where your feet are. And consistently do what you know needs to be done... especially when you don't feel like doing it.
3. ADAPTABILITY: No matter how well you prepare or execute, things won't always go according to plan. Circumstances change. Obstacles arise. Adversity strikes. Winners don't waste time wishing things were different. They adjust, recalibrate, and respond. They embrace a Next Play Mentality.
Here's the key:
Preparation gives you confidence.
Execution produces results.
Adaptability allows you to sustain success.
You need all three.
Because winning isn't about having a perfect plan or experiencing perfect conditions.
It's about consistently preparing to the best of your ability, executing what matters most, and adapting to whatever comes next.
Prepare. Execute. Adapt. Repeat.
That's how you Raise Your Game.

Your ability gives you an opportunity.
Your habits determine what you do with it.
Stop practicing like your spot is guaranteed.
Start preparing like somebody is working to take it.

FEEDBACK IS NOT AN ATTACK ๐ฃ๏ธ
It's information about the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

Accountability is not about calling someone out, playing "gotcha", or controlling someone else. Accountability is about reminding others of standards, goals, and values. Accountability requires trust, love, and respect.

โThings havenโt changed in 30 years. If you guard better, you rebound better, and if you rebound better you run better. If you defend, rebound, and run you have some successโ

IF YOUR ATTITUDE CHANGES WITH YOUR PLAYING TIMEโฆ
You arenโt fully committed to the team.
Youโre committed to your status on the team.
Great teammates donโt make their effort, energy, and support conditional on getting what they want.

PLAYERS: When coach doesn't play you, they aren't disrespecting you or hating on you. They may just be respecting your teammates and loving the team. Good coaches play the players who make up the best team and who are the most trusted team members. Be that kind of teammate.

STOP ASKING WHEN YOUโLL GET YOUR CHANCE
Start asking:
โ
Am I winning drills in practice?
โ
Am I making teammates better?
โ
Am I trusted under pressure?
โ
Am I starring in my role?
Your opportunity is coming.
Make sure your preparation deserves it.

PLAYERS: A coach's job is not to make you happy. A coach's job is to help make you better. Take advantage of the opportunities you have to improve yourself and the team.

Youโre allowed to want more minutes and a bigger role.
But your attitude canโt become another obstacle your teammates have to overcome.
Want more for yourself while still giving your best to the team.
