Since we were told that Mission West would be closing, its been a roller coaster of emotions. Now having just had my official last day being a Wildcat, I feel only thankful. The relationships I built at MWE the last 10 years made me into who I am today & I'm grateful for you all!
5th grade graduation had all the feels...pride for all they accomplished, gratitude for being able to watch them blossom from playful PKers to confident 5th graders & sorrow knowing this was the final 5th grade graduating class of Mission West Elementary. Congrats class of 2026!
Check out one of the presenters from yesterday's Career Day! Our fabulous counselor, Ms. Scholl, worked so hard to make it a great event for the kiddos!

“People don’t commit to a job, they commit to a feeling. If your environment makes them feel like they belong, they’ll want to show up.” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lane Kiffin with an outside the box philosophy on culture building, the concept of environment as a strategy, and how people don't "buy-in" more than they 'belong':
🔓 The fastest way to change behavior isn’t motivation, it’s environment. Leadership is about creating the conditions where people feel safe, valued, and inspired. When the environment is right, performance doesn't need to be forced; it’s unlocked.
🌅 People don’t commit to a job, they commit to a feeling. If your environment makes them feel like they belong, they’ll want to show up. If it makes them feel managed, they’ll only show up when they have to.
🎨 The trajectory of a team is set long before the results show up. It’s shaped in the culture you tolerate, the standards you reinforce, and the environment you DESIGN every single day.
The environment you create doesn’t just influence behavior, it determines identity. Once people see themselves differently, they develop different habits to align with that belief and push them toward their goals. 🎯
2nd grade scientists released their butterflies today after observing their entire life cycle! Many thanks to @FBISDscience for providing the materials that make this possible each year! The students always learn so much from this hands-on experience.
I have no words to express how proud I am of @RhondaMason14! Today I celebrate a powerhouse woman who has had a profound impact on so many, myself included. She breaks barriers, leads with strength, & inspires with purpose.
Congrats @AlvinISD ! You are so blessed to have her!
What better way to prepare for the Science STAAR than through hands-on investigations and trying to escape our haunted lab? 5th grade Wildcat scientists are ready to level up on this year's test!
Big thanks to @BHS_Broncos for getting our Wildcats hyped and inspired before this year's STAAR tests begin! They have been there for us every year and we are truly grateful for their continued support! 💙🧡
Happy Paraprofessional Day! There are no words to express how grateful we are for everything you do! Your hard work does not go unnoticed!
Another successful STEAM Night/Open House is in the books! Families joined us for lots of science, technology, engineering, art, and math fun! Special thanks to my co-coordinators, the brilliant Ms.Butler and amazing Ms.Arnold! 💜💛
Happy Valentine's Day to all of the educators out there! May your day be filled with all of the love, passion, and kindness that you bring into your schools and classrooms each and everyday!
During our PL Day, Wildcats expanded on what we learned about our True Colors Leadership Style. We reinforced the power of knowing our own strengths and the strengths of those we work with which helps us communicate more effectively & increases our efficiency and productivity !
From read alouds, to traveling back in time, to singing and dancing together, this 100th day of school is one we'll never forget! We are 100 days smarter, 100 days stronger, 100 days kinder! 💛💜 @FortBendISD @FBISDEarlyChild
