IT’S REGIONAL WEEKEND! 🗓️Saturday, October 24 🆚 Scecina | Winchester 📍 Greenfield Central 🕰️ 4pm Theme: Blackout

Get to know Head Coach: Maegan Dickerson  Favorite Color: Royal Blue Favorite Animal: Lioness Favorite Brand: @Fabletics A real story of blood, sweat, and tears. And in that order.  June in the gym started with excitement as Maegan Dickerson headed into her second season as Scecina's Head Volleyball Coach. With lessons learned from year one, the "We're Back" and "We Before Me" vibe permeated the coaching staff and the players.  Blood: As an active coach, who never asks her players to do something she wouldn't, Maegan went into Scecina's first home game wearing a boot. Two days before the season opener, Maegan was scrimmaging with the team, pushing them to get uncomfortable, when a play at the net resulted in an impromptu ride to the emergency room.  Sweat: As Maegan's injury improved another challenge presented itself: combating 100-degree heat in a gym without air conditioning, which required rescheduling games and educating players about hydration.  The team, and our die hard fans, glistened with resilience over many months of agony.  Tears: Post-injury, record-breaking heat indexes, overcoming a not-so-positive win / loss record, a lot of conversation surrounding discipline until the last play, and sheer tenacity - you'll notice something rather inspiring immediately after the final play: there's no running to accept the trophy. What you'll see is a team, huddling with each other first, led by a coach with tears in her eye's "saying we did it. We finally pushed through, and I'm so proud of you." If you want to know more about Coach Maegan Dickerson, her accomplishments are listed in photo.
