Friendships that are forged in both the classroom and on the pitch are truly special and can last for a lifetime. Don't miss out due to not playing high school sports!
There is no better environment to mentor young men and women than in academic based sports. Teaching and modeling that grades matter, character counts, and sportsmanship is required happens on a daily basis in high schools all over this great nation.
Over 4 yrs, high school coaches have the opportunity to not only build an identity for their program, they develop strong bonds with players, some of which last a lifetime. It is important to have players play for good role models, since character counts.
High school programs not only train high school students but also teach their student athletes to give back to the community by sponsoring youth teams, conducting camps and running training sessions.
A lot of team bonding occurs on bus trips. Often JV and Varsity units travel together, as one program, heading out on a common mission. Return trips can be one of the most celebratory occasions or one of the most somber--both teach life lessons and character.
What was meant for evil, galvanized our nation. We pay our respect to the families that lost loved ones on that tragic day. Never forget!
Just like a Pro plays for their club and their country, high school players want to play for their school crest as well as their club. Wearing the badge in front of their friends down the halls and under the Friday Night Lights is truly special.
"Success isn't determined by how many times you win, but by how you play the week after you lose."
Pelé
Pelé was the best to ever play the game. This quote is true off the pitch too and means that how one responds to defeats and failures builds or reveals character.
Congratulations to Copperheads Men's Soccer players Max Stafford, Blake Hart, Thomas Collevechio, and Ben Holtzclaw for going undefeated in their group and will play in the NPL National Semi-finals tomorrow.
This year we accepted donations to support Fort Mill Parks & Recreation's youth soccer program. We will use the funds to sponsor two new U-8 teams this spring.
