Just had a client get under 200lbs for the first time since him and his wife met 16 years ago.
Feels good man.
Hot take: wagyu is overrated
Enjoyable for a bite, but then after it’s like chewing on butter-flavored candle wax.
Just met up with a client, and I remember when he signed up…
His goal was to just maintain. To simply not get fat. He knew he couldn’t stop traveling, attending weddings, drinking and eating out.
But I pushed him to go for more, without saying no to his obligations and desires.
Now, his girl can’t let go of his arms.

Found this tiramisu ice cream, small batch made locally.

When a fellow lifter says his girlfriend wants him to cut back on the gym so they can spend more time watching series together:
I always ask people who inquire about working with me:
How bad do you want this outcome?
Because if the answer is lukewarm reaction…
I don’t want your money.
You can get, and stay, fit while traveling / eating out year round.

Thoughts...
Most of humanity stays lost in endless imaginary forks.
We sit in our heads running different versions of our lives, trying to figure out which one is “ours” before committing to any of them, and end up in a purgatory of vacillation.
I am a firm believer that the most beautiful thing about a human life is the irreversibility coded into it.....We do not get to run every version, compare the outcomes and return to the beginning......We choose and then pursue.
Commitment precedes purpose.
You do not find the right life and then commit to it....life does not work that way....You commit, and then the intensity and sacrifice around that choice give it meaning.
Purpose is nothing more than something you make irreversible enough to become true.
And if choice is one of the deepest expressions of being human, then maybe the opposite of suicide is something equally abrupt....waking up one morning and, in fraction of a second, deciding that you are going to attack life.
The world does not need to have changed, and you do not need to have solved yourself first....you just need to have the balls to decide.
