Today I was recognized by @RichardsonISD as the Assistant Coach of the Year. Thankful to the administrators, players and coaches who have influenced me over the past 18 years. Grateful for the kids and coaches at @JJPMustangFB and @JJPearceTrack that make me a better coach!
Just need 11
Hell yeah good on them! Find a way!
I remember when @CoachSelfridge lined up against us with 18 kids and gave us the game of our life in round 1 of the playoffs.

Shoutout to Winters, they are down to 15 kids yet they are sticking it out and finishing the season with their heads held high #txhsfb

Powerful but true… everyone is going through something.
Football should be a place to release and enjoy the game.

#USMNT striker Folarin Balogun on his immediate reaction to red card:
“I think it was just important to stay calm. I never want to react out of anger and out of emotion. There’s still lots of people we’re inspiring, little kids, boys and girls who are watching, and we have to show them the correct way to handle things, even when you think it's unjust.”
On shaking ref’s hand postgame:
“As said, you can feel like something, injustice can happen to you. It’s not an excuse to be disrespectful… I'm aware that the World Cup might be the first time a lot of American viewers are tuning in. So it's important just to show people, whether things happen to you, good or bad, just to continue to be yourself.”

🚨HEADING INTO 2026🚨
Let’s make sure we all understand…
THE 400M IS A SPRINT EVENT NOT A MID DISTANCE EVENT!
Two guys I have known for 6 years. Two guys who agreed to do it because of the relationships our staff has built with them. Two guys who agreed"first sport" is not football. I was put in charge of special teams this season and they made my job easier. Thankful for these two.
Tonight was the close of my 20th season coaching high school football.
No slight to my Meadowdale or Lakeside kids — but this senior group will be tough to beat.
Then I met them. They trusted me. They bought in. And they flat-out got after it.
I’ve had the chance to coach them at every level — junior high, freshmen, JV, and the last two years on varsity.
Not many coaches get that kind of run with one group.
