RIP Coach Dale Brown. Remember him well from my days as an assistant at Tennessee. His “freak defense” among other innovations. He gave so much to the game & to people. A lifelong learner.
10 years ago we lost a giant on earth. A giant in the game of basketball but also a giant in life. Her impact lives on in so many of us. What she taught us is timeless. Thanks Coach Summitt.
And as John Bradley told his son, Jim: “I want you to always remember something. The heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who didn’t come back.”
This weekend we honor those who gave their lives, their last full measure, to give us the freedom we have now. Freedom comes at a cost. We will always remember you.
Today, March 29th, is National Vietnam Veterans Day. Thank you to all of you who served your country during that time. We appreciate you.
Thank you to all our nation’s veterans on this Veterans Day. We appreciate you & are thankful for your service. God bless you all.
Earth lost a great one — rest in peace, Lenny Wilkens. One of the game’s greats & an unstoppable lefty. Class act & a true Hall-of-Famer in every sense. You inspired many of us.
Coach Summitt, it’s been 9 years since you left this earth & your lessons are still timeless. You are missed by many. Thank you for pouring into us so that we can continue to pour into others.
Today we remember & honor all military service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Thank you for our freedom. We will never forget you.
A special thanks to all our veterans today & always. Our freedom isn’t free — you all have provided it. We honor & respect your service to our nation.

You have to ask yourself one question:
"What price am I willing to pay for this?"
Success is earned. It takes sacrifice, commitment, and hard work to achieve what you want in life.
8 years we lost one of our game’s great coaches. Coach Summitt — coach, leader, mentor & friend to so many. Thankful for our time working together; most thankful for our friendship. You are always loved & remembered by us all.
Remembering Coach Summitt on her birthday. She was simply one of the best ever. Coach, teacher, mentor, friend — she served all those roles w/ honor & excellence. Thanks Pat, for pouring into us all.
Rest in peace, Jerry West. A genuine legend of the game. One of the game’s greatest players & executives. He is forever embedded in the memories of those of us who saw him play. A true champion.
Rest in peace, Chet “the jet” Walker. Your game was the object of imitation on many playgrounds back in the 70’s.
And as John Bradley told his son Jim, “I want you to always remember something. The heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who didn’t come back.”
