One thing baseball taught me that took years to fully appreciate...
Not everyone who works hard gets rewarded right away.
Not every talented player gets an opportunity.
Not every good person catches a break.
And sometimes, the people doing everything right are the ones struggling the most.
That's life, too.
Keep showing up. Keep treating people right. Keep doing the work.
Just because the results haven't caught up to your effort doesn't mean they never will. 👊

You can't compete freely when you're constantly worried about the result.
The best competitors don't allow the scoreboard to dictate their effort, confidence, or focus.
They stay present, trust their work, and compete to their standard.

If your HS coach(es) put on organized workouts in the offseason and you are not playing another sport…. I encourage you to take advantage of this quality FREE training/practice.
You don’t have to pay for training for it to be of value. If you take lessons, plan those for a time when you are not at your HS training. Then you get a double bonus. It should not be one or the other. Of course I’m talking about players who love the game and are hungry to get better.
*** Footnote: not everyone is blessed to have quality coaches who give up their time in the off season to help other. But if you do, take advantage of it and thank them.

Proud of you, 5. Been an absolute pleasure watching you grow into the young man and leader that you are today.

Thought of the Day:
The people who are pushing you to succeed see something in you that you cannot yet see in yourself.
When you finally see it, you will understand why they were pushing you so hard!
Harrison is raising funds for his year as a Webelo in Cub Scouts!
Would you be willing to support him?

Earlier in the season, Brewer manager Pat Murphy pulled rookie Cooper Pratt for not fully running out a hit.
Tonight, Murph pulled veteran William Contreras for not running out a ball to first.

AVERAGE TEAMMATES make excuses.
GOOD TEAMMATES do their jobs.
GREAT TEAMMATES make everyone better.
🔥 They bring energy.
🗣️ They communicate.
🚨 They confront problems.
👏 They celebrate others.
⬆️ They uphold the standard.
Be the GREAT TEAMMATE who makes everyone better.

Your role is different than your value.
Your role is what the team needs from you today.
Your value is what you bring every day.
You can count your minutes or make your minutes count.
Accountability is a commitment to help each other close the gap between what we said matters and what we actually do!
